Alrighty alrighty, where to begin. Oh yes, on a personal note, I completely agree with the posts I created last night being closed and deleted. BUT, I do not agree with certain other posts that are just as much, if not moreso, off-topic to be left on the board. This suggests favoritism on part of the moderator/moderators. Now, last I recall, the role of the moderators is to enforce the rules listed to each individual member on arrival, and available to us at our discretion to review at any time at the top of the forum's main page. NOWHERE on that list of rules does it come anywhere near to hinting that moderators can choose favorites and insist on allowing them free run of whatever they like, whilst the rest of us must sit and watch our posts become closed due to a high rate of PMS/Testosterone injected mayhem. To further broaden this argument, the goal of the modification sub-culture as a WHOLE is to create an open acceptance to ALL people. How can we possibly succeed at doing so if we quarrel amongst ourselves and create 'cliques' within our own group. Granted, I admit, my posts last night were created to be somewhat of a rant, intended to annoy and perhaps adequetly piss off a few people on here. They would not have proven necissary, however, if certain people had been correctly doing their assigned duties. On a closing note, I say having power is not as important as how you use it. With love, Daniella

By the way, I do not expect this topic should be closed considering it is completely on base pertaining to the welfare of this board.

I would like to think that in the interest of a community feel, that most posts are on topic. I think it says something about that in the rules too. We are a community, so if something's on your mind, why wouldn't you be able to share that?

Again, I apologise if I have acted in a "dictator" like manner.. be assured, That's not my goal. But rather to keep the posts on track. And now, with a OT forum (which I personally think is a fantastic idea) things will mellow out. As will I

Dude , you also have to realize to that our topic's are going to drift OT sometimes and that how we "THE TRIBE" have had them be forever and you can't go changing how they have been. Watch us and learn how we are them you mingle and get in with it, just don't go crazy that's all.
Merry Christmas to all Hope Santa is good to you !

Again, I agree I think the initial problem was, frankly, that I came in FULL FORCE not knowing quite what to expect. Being a moderator on some other boards as well, the amount of "flexibility" in enforcing the rules varies greatly. That said, I do think I came in with a bit too much of an iron fist.. and I thank you all for all your great constructive criticism and support. And I hope you'll notice me mellowing out... I'm sincerely trying and think I've got the BASIC ideals of the board figured out Also, by all means, please feel free to email or PM me (or openly post for that matter) any other suggestions you may have. They truly are what will guide me to being a better member and a better moderator. Thanks guys (and gals!!)

Thank you that was very nicely said and I have noticed when I have been in lately. Please understand change is hard and you hit us all like you said "Full Force", When I first saw your and your post I didn't notice that you were a moderater. But I did note that you really were in your face even as a new comer. As a new year comes, actually before, I will start my year now with you now and begin on a different foot from now on as it seems you are also doing the same. I know we just spoke, but welcome friend!!

Thanks again! And like I said, please feel free to keep me on my toes! (No one has been shy about that so far.. hehe) And yes, change is hard... When I initially asked Drew for the "position" I felt as if it would be pretty realxed (and I'm now realizing.. IT IS.. hehe) and all I would be doing is helping to keep things on topic, answer questions, and generally be a normal member. And that's really all I should be doing.. (I think.. and obviously enforcing the rules). Like I said, the people on differnet boards react quite differently to moderators (new and old) and rules are carved in stone on some and flex 180 degrees on another. Tribalectic, I've learned (and continue to learn) is a very mellow place. And I mentioned to Drew (when we were emailing about the Moderator issue) I noticed almost NO posts that needed to be moderated / altered / deleted. That said... I still plan to do what I think is right, and I'm sure someone will disagree (someone always does.. you can never please everyone), but I have been these last couple of days (and will continue to be) much more flexible and less "iron fisted". Again, thank you all for your support and valuable criticisms.. I hope you all know that they have not fallen on deaf ears! Thank you! Also, thank you for the friendly welcome!
