I got my belly button pierced about 5 mo.'s ago...it looks a little crooked, and i dunno if it "migrated" (?) or if the piercer just pierced it crooked...so i'm wondering if i should just take it out and let it heal and get it re-pierced later? and if so- is there a process i should go thru so nothing bad happens? and or should i see a doctor about it too??? just wondering what to do-please help if u can...thanks

well heres a question for u...does the crookedness bother u?? my opinion-but if it doesnt keep it, if not, take it out, let it heal, and repeirce...i dont know very much about peircings so i cant really answer anything with like something that counts....but thats my 2 cents

Yeah, if the crookedness really bothers you, then take it out. Personally, I think it gives it character. If it's not a big deal, then leave it because it's a pain to take out, let it heal, and repierce it and have to start taking care of it all over again. And I don't think you need to see a doctor - I doubt he'd know what to do if it was crooked.

okay this might sound stupid but do you HAVE TO let it heal first before repeircing it?? i kinda want to redo mines but ive had mines for almost 2 years...just wondering.

if it does bother you, you should try the rings with dangling things. i have one that has another ring on the bottom ball... that might help.. it helped me.

My navel is a bit crooked too, but it sort of depends on the way I happen to be standing at the time. If yours is really screwed, then go ahead and do what you want to do, however, I have heard that if you re-pierce it, it is more painful, and more difficult to get through the second time because of the scar tissue, so prepare yourself to deal with that too. Also, there is not much point in not waiting for it to heal first. Why take care of two open wounds instead of focusing all your efforts on the one you really want? It just seems like another way to welcome excess complications....but then....I"m no expert. It seems that it would be worth the extra time.
