I read that you should wait until the bird is done laying the eggs to take them. She may lay more to make up for the ones taken away-and exacting a harsher toll on her body than needed. But wait-she only lays one egg, and then she's done?? Or does she lay a normal clutch size?

She never lays more then one - I can only remember her doing that once and when we checked her cage in the morning they were both there and she was back to her perky old self.

Oh, ok, that's good then. A normal clutch size can be anywhere from 5-7 eggs. And each egg, as you know, is tough on their little bodies. Glad she only lays one, though-she doesn't have to go through it six or seven times!!
