My navel has been pierced for almost a year. The piercing is very dry and tight. Normal?? What can I put on it???

I guess I should be a bit more specific...I was wondering if there is anything I can safely put on it to loosen it up just a bit so my ring at least moves freely again. Right now it is very tight. I like the guage I am at and don't care to stretch it but I would like it how it used to be...with the ring moving freely. When I try to move it now it is dry and the skin grabs it. ~ugh~ It is uncomfy sometimes that it won't give like it used to. Any sugguestions? Hope a bit more infor helps. =)

After a year of having it, seems strange that the problems are just starting. i would say go seek a professionals opinion on the matter. Also consider a curved bb, rings (well for me ) just dont do well in that area. For the dry part you can use vitamin E oil or olive oil, and remember that you shouldnt be rotating your jewelry.
