I got my monroe pierced on friday. there was no swelling until today (sunday), it is not severely swollen or painful, but the labret back is kinda tight against the inside of my mouth. does this mean the post is to short? or is this just normal swelling?

P.S. I have started taking motrin and sucking ice to help reduce it.

Sounds pretty normal to me. You may want to try using ice chips and just let them melt in your mouth, or sip on ice water instead of sucking on ice cubes. Suction can actually cause swelling to increase.

sounds normal but to ensure that it isnt to tight try to see if you can see any of the post sticking out on the outside. Even with swelling you should be able to see a little sticking out, if you dont i would say it is to tight and go to your piercer to get it looked at right away. Good luck with it!!!
