I'm not sure if this is possible, but I want my labret pierced one day and I was wondering is a labret piercing the same as piercing ur lip with a ring? Are they the same and if they aren't can u put a ring in a labret piercing and get the same effect?(as in switch from flatback jewelry to a ring.)

depending on placement i would say that you could def. pull that off. Kind of two piercings for the price of one. Very cool. Good idea and good luck.

I have my labret pierced and where hoops every once in a while...my advice - make sure the hoop is plenty big...if it is too small, it will pull on the lip...you'll be able to tell if its too small or not...it will feel like a blister is forming on the inside...the hoop is a great look, I love it! good luck!

i always thought a labret was the area in between the lip and the chin. i have a lip/labret myself. this is the same as a lip piercing but can wear either a ring or bar.
