Should i worry since my tongue is still swollen and it's been a week?

It's normal.

Swelling depends upon the person. Some people don't experience it at all, and for others it lasts for up to 3 weeks.

Drink lots of ice water, and you can try taking an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen, and that should help with the swelling.

Also, sleeping with your head elevated, using alcohol-free mouthwashes like Tech 2000 or Biotene for your rinses instead of Listerine, and avoiding spicy or acidic foods can help minimize swelling too.

My tongue was still swollen after two weeks. One week is still very early based on my own experience.
