k so ive not really been around lately, because i was working hard n had stuff to sort.
but i stopped working and thinking when i came to find myself in hospital on saturday with glandular fever!! i finally got out today look n feel like something a dog passes n you tread on!apparently i'll be like this for approx 6wks,i'll have good n bad days.also i cant work and drink for a bit so thats going to be boring-my two big loves work n drink,out the window haha!!

You have my sympathy, just come out of a similar 'flu-like virus' infection meself. Glands are still swollen and me nads are a bit tender (not that that would be in your symptom list).

Drink loads of water!

Suprisingly enough the nurses loved my piercings-asked questions and stuff.
I made my own decision the morning i was admitted to take out my labret and 6ga tongue-purely because my doctor who said id have to do to hospital thought i had either severe tonsilitus(in which case theyd remove them) or bi-lateral quinsys(where the tonsils fill with pus and have to be drained-ergh *shudder*).This being because my tonsils were swollen to the point where they met in the middle,theyre only just starting to go down!! but as it was it turned out to be glandular fever.
Ive had everyone asking the same old boring half question half joke "who have you been kissing?".
I cant believe some people dont get it too bad and just think its flu-my sister did when she was young!!
Thanks for the kind thoughts. TJ did you go to the hospital too? I'm telling you the inside of my left albow looks like an old ladys leg from where i had a drip.

My Mother had a 'quinsy throat' and it nearly killed her!!!! Lucky lady you. I just got a load of anti-biotics (I had blood in my urine too) and a blank look from my Doc. 'It's a virus, we can't to anything about it'. Mostly ok now, still got slightly swollen glands and sore nads. Glad to hear you're ok.

(Although I shouldn't really be being this nice, seeing as I just post here to take the pi... mickey out of people and to insult them).

I caught glandular fever when I was 15 so I get recurring bouts of it every year. I hate it. I also hate doctors who say you have a virus but that's a whole nother (*nod to Mafia Girl) story.

recurring bouts?!! Noooooooooo!!!! I can't go through this again.
Its been lovely having family and friends showing their love and concern-but being this ill is so not worth it.haha.
ive had some lovely things bought for me,tulips and other flowers that i cant name!,chocolates(not that ive got round to eating those yet-damn throat!!),cards,teddies etc.
I do miss my neice though-i see her but haven't got the strength to pick her up so she just sits there looking expectantly at me cooing and flailing her arms and legs.AWW bless!
