New Years rocks!
I have a sad story about New Years, though . . . last year i and four of my girlfriends went to Las Vegas for New Years. I was so psyched--New Years on the strip! Unfortunately, we got there a few days ahead of time, and by the time New Years Eve rolled around, we had all partied so hard, that my four friends were unconcious. Not me, though, because I can control myself! ahem! Not for anything could I get them to move, and I wasn't going down to the Strip by myself (we were staying in the 'burbs with a friend) so I ended up spending it dancing all by myself in the bathroom with candles dressed to the nines. Moral of the story is: if you go with girlfriends, stay on the Strip. and get separate rooms!

got i hate xmass its the most suckyest time of year, its just a load of comersial bulls**t, the whole familly is bound to arggue(soz about my spelling by the way) every thing is really taky all those stupid lites, people who u never talk to sending u cards and the worst part is my gf lives in another part of the country and we both av to go see are parents for xmass it suks big time

I don't hate any holidays. The Christmas songs just really annoy me, though.

*smiles* I'm with BR. I am so excited on Christmas Eve. I lay my head down on my pillow in bed, blink, and then jump up and attempt to wake everyone in the house. This is usually about 3 am hehe. They tell me to go back to sleep!
Hugs to all of you with the holiday blues. It's a tough time of year, because we are all supposed to be so jolly and bright.
I miss people too. Those who are far away, and those who are lost. I wish I could see them all if only just to see the reflection of Christmas twinkle in thier eyes for one little second in time on Christmas day. But they are there still if not physically, they are in my mind and heart,and always part of my soul.
Probably the biggest reason I am so goofy this time of year is for my children. Sort of as a tribute to my own Mother. This was definately her time of year and she always made it so fun. Those who were lucky enough to know her, I am positive thier fondest memories include Christmas ones. Her beautiful heart taught me to enjoy all the magical and beautiful things in life about this season, and that if I absolutley had to be in a bad mood, it could wait, til January lol. Thanks Mom.
So yes dammit, it is my goal to be a pshyco little elf, and make everyone smile, whether they want to or not. So come on every body, stick a jingle bell wherever ringing would benefit you the most and jingle jingle jangle! It's Christmas time! :p

I hate Christmas, it means I have to be nice to my family or I'll get blamed for ruining everything...but the good parts are the drunkenness and the food

This thread was made for me-I hate xmas so much for various reasons:
1. santa is a big perv and makes me feels sick
2. xmas is v boring when they dont make toys for grown ups (u can only have so many dildos and hand cuffs-jokie)
3. We used to have to go to my nans every xmas day and all 20 of us squish around a table made for no more than 6 ppl! so i cant eat xmas dinner with out feelin squished
4. my mum says im too old for stockings

but it is mostly the santa thing. i know you disagree Rach, but hunny-think about it!!

I hate Christmas for the simple fact that we are forced to accept the tradition, spend it with our families or send gifts or whatever.
I don't like any holidays..Christmas, newyears, my birthday, none..Just another day for me, I don't mind people having them, don't mind hearing about it, but I hate it that some (especially my family) thinks I should love these god damn holidays when they mean nothing to me.¨

I just find it very stupid that our families get insulted or hurt or something if we say we don't like this tradition, and would rather be left out of it. I have told my family I hate Christmas, I don't want gifts, don't want to give any and really don't feel like being forced to spend that day with them (why do we need a special day to spend with our families?), but it doesn't work..Some begin to cry, some get insulted, some frown abone it, but none will accept that reason..So we are forced to either join the tradition or we will hurt our family..And that is why I hate holidays so.
