I've seen a lot of topics showing off new jewelry lately, so I figured I'd start a thread for anyone to post up their collection - kinda like on another forum some of us go to.

I've bought a lot of stuff recently. I'm planning on getting some stuff made for me by GWS, and Tribe has some glass spirals that I really want, then there are some plugs I'd like to pick up from another site...

Anyway, I took this pic tonight, which shows all of my newer stuff, with the exception of the Venus navel piece, which came from Tribe, and is actually on an internally threaded slave barbell, also from Tribe:



Everything is 2g except for the bottom row, and I've left out my cbrs, some navel barbells and most of my smaller stuff.

Bottom left....what do you do with that?

Early last year '07: 1/2-5/8" plug collection in my "big" box which I upgraded to when I stretched to 5/8". Its fun to see because I can say, there's my first pair of wood eyelets, first leapord print, first bling eyelets...

Ugh, the Kaos hiders I got in version 1, thinking I have light skin so it should match... but my skin is much more pink/peacher than the hiders allow. My translusent glitter Kaos blend well, as do the rose quartz .

And trust me PP, I spend a while each day fondling/arranging/adding/taking out/ect. lol, seriously.

Nah, haven't given up yet Just decided it's more important to get 2 of the 3 kitties spayed, and get my hair cut, before I splurge on expensive jewelry.

I got the omega in today
It is quite heavy.. not as heavy as I thought it would be, but still heavy.
It's not going to be worn when its really cold as it was freezing when I opened the package, but seeing that we're in a slight winter heat wave here I'll be wearing it for a few days.

I've always wondered, and am going to take this opportunity to ask now. When you have a vertical lobe through a stretched lobe like that, do you just poke the holes in (what I'm assuming is) a rubbery ring so that the vert jewelery can go through that one? or do they make special plugs for vertical lobe piercings, and how on EARTH could you get them to line up??

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I just noticed the question
But what I did for the initial pierce, was ordered a stainless steel eyelet and they made it so there was a hole in it. I have yet to find special plugs for vert lobes, but that would be nice. I miss wearing pyrex in that ear
But so far I've been doing good with silicone plugs/eyelets and just stab a hole through them. How I got the holes to line up correctly was to put the silicone around the original (stainless steel) eyelet, and stabbed a hole with a piercing needle. I can't wear the stainless steel eyelet anymore, got the vert stretched to 14ga and the tards I ordered it from made one of the holes in the eyelet 14 gauge, but the other between a 16 and 14 gauge :rolleyes:
The piercing is a bitch to change.. it is difficult to get the jewelry to line up right, and sometimes the upper part gets really sore after changing the jewelry. Right now I'm wearing a black plug that I don't really like the looks of, but I'm not changing it again anytime soon. Had to change it to an actual plug, the new store manager worked my shift last week and I don't know how he feels about multiple large gauge ear piercings. So I wanted to make them look less holy lol.

Very fun! The waiting is the hardest part.

Trish, that does sound like a pain in the butt! I can't imagine ever finding pre-made plugs that would fit your exact holes there, but at least you can work with the silicone! Also, it seems very very silly that they would make the holes different sizes in the SS jewelery. I'm sorry! It looks super neat with the clear silicone though!

It is a very big pain in the butt. The piercer also said that if I knew someone with a dremal (sp?) tool they could make holes in the jewelry... I know someone with one, but I don't know. I suppose I could have them play with the eyelet that I can't wear anymore to begin with. But I am glad they make silicone jewelry.

putting your own holes in jewelery does seem like it could be an expensive experiment. it also makes me worry about rough edges, but you don't have much to lose with an eyelet you can't wear! neat!
