Hey all, I have 2 questions about my apadravya. First, what barbell length should I get next? As it sits now, the balls are flush to the skin when erect, but do not depress at all. Should I go 2mm shorter? Or 4 maybe? Or is flush ok? I seem to get different responses from everyone I ask.

Second, where does one go to find M&M shaped balls? I've looked everywhere, but no luck. It would seem that 3/8" M&Ms would be far more comfortable than spheres, but still retain the larger aesthetic.

Thanks in advance,
lucklust

If you haven't already done so, you need to read Tambo's thread in General Body Piercing, re: Girls That Have Ridden Appys.

Steelwerks has the elliptical balls you want...they're called Smartie Barbells.

I'd say 1 or 2 mm should do the trick. the idea is that the head of your penis will contort and squish a bit in the act, and that "just flush" won't be "just flush" any more, and you definitely don't want excess. They should be able to dig in a little bit without being painful. it's all about comfort.

and yeah, steelwerks has them for $20 each ball. i'm still waiting on my buddy to get word from anatometal about their cost to make them.

Wow, 40$ not including the bar is pricey!

Tambo, thanks for the info on length too... I was looking at some pics through BME, and some of the apa's were WAY recessed. Too much even. I'm thinking that you're probably right, just 2mm less should be good.

It's your wang. Be picky. I'm going to have Steve Haworth do some custom work for me. It's going to expensive but oh well

An update on the M&M bead situation: I emailed Brian Skellie at www.piercing.org and he carries titanium barbells and titanium elliptical balls manufactured by Anatometal, apparently. The price he quoted for a 6 ga with 3/8" balls was 45, and I believe shipping is 5. Not bad AT ALL for Anatometal titanium with custom balls. And he'll anodize it to whatever color you want.

Is that a special order site only? I was looking at it and I don't see any "catalog" of stuff they have you can purchase. ?

I just purchased a 10g 1" Titanium Neometal bar with elliptical balls, and it was probably the best shopping experience online I've ever had. Brian (the owner) was extremely helpful, answered email inquiries immediately, included pictures, a color chart for annodization, and then this photo , http://www.brettmallard.com/crossbar.jpg , of my bar that they took a picture of just prior to shipping. An email confirmation was sent with the photo and tracking information. What a great shopping experience. Highly recommend this shop!

That's awesome. I'm so glad this turned out as well as it sounded. I've just emailed him to order a 1-1/8" 8 ga and 6 ga bar with 3/8" elliptical ends in "electric blue." I'm quite excited. Out of curiousity, what size balls did you get?

Judging by the prices we can get these for, and the range of tribe users with appys, I have a feeling they might become the standard! :-)

I'm looking at the balls, and still can't imagine how 3/8" elliptical can act like standard 3/8" for your wife, due to the reduced vertical size, but I'll believe it when, ahem, they feel it. :-)

Hey, this is Padraic, and i work at Piercing Experience. We don't have pics of everything we carry, mostly because we custom size and colour everything we sell. Basically, to get something run by the website, shoot us an e-mail about what you are looking for, and we'll set you up with a safe, pretty piece. smile

The only problem I have in using this as the standard for all apadravya is the fact that the slope of everyone's penis is not the same, and not all are conducive to the angle of the elipse. smile but it is comfortable for a good majority of the populace.

btw. where in ok are you? i'm originally from norman.

That was my biggest initial concern. I'd like mine to be angled more forward and placed a bit more perpendicular to the surface of the skin, but I believe I'll be fine.
