well i had them at a four gauge, I knew that for sure. Then my boyfriend boight me these "2 gauge" earrings, but he didn't tell me he bought them from soho!!! I usually get my stuff off of here and bme, thats where I got the 4 gauge stuff. So I had these little acrylic tapers(i know everyone says not to use these, but i have founde that my ears heal better and faster than if I use a metal taper and jewlery to begin with) that the store said were 2 gauges and I just slipped it right in. No pain or anything, and the for gauge were only like a month and a half old. I dont know if I should but some 2 gauge tapers off bme or go for a bigger size. Does anyone have a picture of their two gauge holes without jewlery?

This doesn't really answer anything, but I thought this might help...I stretched from 4 ga to 0 ga once with little pain, so I imagine that you getting the 2 ga in easily doesn't mean much.

that's perfect, there should not be any pain when you are stretching, I do not use tapers for anything. I know if I'm trying to fit larger size jewelry in and it starts to hurt i wait or try after a 15 min massage in the hot shower or wrap one wrap of tape around my evisting jewelry. Don't think that everytime you stretch you should feel any pain, maybe it will feel a little tighter but no pain. And you said that your lobes HEAL better from an acrylic taper than steel, what exactly do you mean? I mean do they bleed or do the tapers seem to cause trauma?
