I live in Vincennes, Indiana.
Piercings are extremely cheap here.. $5 for lip, ears, the most you will pay is $20 for a Monroe or Bridge.
I got 14 piercings done here and every single one of them (besides my Wrist.... but lets not go into that) have healed perfectly.
I do want to say, whatever you do, DO NOT go to Altered Image!!!! Out of my piercings, the ones I got at Altered Image are crooked, they healed fine but they are NOT straight.
There is a shop on 2nd street called Evolution and the guy has been doing piercing for like 10 years and my friend is going to train under him in a few weeks, he is really a nice guy and does good work. He isn't always in the shop since he has two, so its a good idea to call ahead.
There is another shop in two called Taste of Steel, but it usually is more expensive, probably $20 for a lip. They do good work, but I would recommend Evolution over them and they are cheaper to.
If you have any questions or want to talk to me about the shops feel free to email me, I have alot of experience with them over the past few months, my last time in the shop was less than a week ago.
I would like to respond to what most people said, I know it is kinda scary to get a piercing for so cheap, I mean how can they do a good job? Well let me say this. The first shop in town to offer piercing for $5 was Altered Image. To keep up the with competive prices when Evolution came to town they started charging just $5. Alot of people go to Altered Image, but like I said... they have a tendacy to do things crooked.
The jewelry is not "crap" it is stainless steel that comes out of a package opened ring in front of you, along with the needle AND the pliers. And afterwards they are ALL thrown away. I went with my boyfriend to get his eyebrow down and the guy dropped the pliers and threw them away got new ones out and got new gloves and still only charged $5.
I have no clue how they make money but they are very clean and nice. They did 2 eyebrows of mine, 3 eyebrows of my boyfriends, my friends Septum, 3 lips piercings on my friend, and all my ear piercing. I have never had one problem. I use Dial and Sea Salt soaks to clean them off like the paper says.
Unfortunally, my wrist piercing didn't turn out so good from there, but only because they do not normally do them and used a flexible bar instead of a surface bar (they warned me first).
I know that $5 is cheap but don't judge a book by it's cover! Although Altered Image is bad because of crooked piercing, Evolution is a very good shop.
