You could get your cheeks done. Like little silver dimples. I've only seen a handful of pics, never on anyone though. I think they're cute!

For me, piercing isn't at all about being "different" or expressing my individuality. I feel that it is my unique personality and other qualities alone that set me apart from everyone else. Where I've chosen to locate the metal in my body is just a matter of personal preference.

I have some very "mainstream" piercings...my navel, my tongue, lobes, and I'm getting my nostril done soon. I also have some that are not so popular. For me, piercing is a pleasurable experience, and wearing the jewelry is various locations of my body is kind of like the souvenior. Personally, I don't care who else has them. If the experience was pleasurable and memorable for them, then let the people have their happiness, you know? Every member of the Western world could have their navel pierced, and it wouldn't bother me...I like it on me. It makes me feel good, and I still look fondly on the memory of getting it six years ago.

Piercings are not what makes you different. Because quite honestly, in the next several years, piercing will become more and more widely tolerated and experienced by the masses...it's already begun. The only thing that truly makes you an individual is how you choose to carry yourself, and what path you choose to follow in life.

I honestly have to say that i have just read some of the most ridiculous garbage ever, getting anoyed with people because they get piercings to try and impress someone else. LOL, that is called intolerance and it is the last thing our industry needs.

We all have our reasons for getting pierced, be it for spiritual reasons, religious reasons, rebelious and want to piss your parents off reasons, for self esteem reasons, and yes even to make your self better lookin in the eyes of others. It doesn't matter why you get them, or who is getting them. Those sorority girls with all their naval, and nostril piercings, they are the ones that keep most piercing studios open. So don't bash on a person cause they have navel piercings, and so does all her girlfriends in her sorotity house. Every person is different and we all have our own right to get what ever piercing we want done.

Around here the more popular piercings are: Tongue, Lobe, and Navel. Only recently has tragus piercing begun to get popular. I have never seen an Industrial here, and have only seen 3 Madonna's.

I sooo totally agree with both Jon(Main StDevil) and LipBiter. Absolutely, 100%.

I really couldn't give a rats big fat ass what other people have, if I like it, Imma go get it. If some one sees it and 'copies', then yay, some one liked me, wahoo for me! I mean, if I uglified myself and others copied, then that would kinda suck, because then I'd have to look at tons of ugliness all the time. But, since I see my lil shiney ornaments as beautiful, I see no harm in others do it as well. More beauty to look at day to day. Good taste is good taste, and if some one gets a totally great yet different haircut, then it is bound to catch on. That is life.
However, not a single person here that I know of, can take the credit for creating a piercing, where as some one say.. J. Annistons(okay, I didn t really like that hair cut, but see where I am going with this, mmkay)can take credit for the trend of a haircut. A cut that was hers and hers alone(sorta anyway) then became a trend and graced everyones head. Jesus my analogies always freakin suck. Anyway....

Around here, eyebrows, labrets, tongues, and cartlige are VERY VERY common. Not as common would be septum, industrial, bridge, and believe it or not(unless most of them are hiding) nostril. But this is suburbia...

Closer to the intown area of Atlanta, nostrils are common and so are septums, but still not as common as the brow, labret and cartlige.

I never liked eyebrows or tongues anyway. However, I sorta once did like the labret, but sometimes seeing somthing on people that you think are kinda icky can ruin it for you. Too many lil kids begging for pot money outside the malls ruined that one for me. Maybe I am being pretentious, but that wouldn't be too unheard of for me  . Sometimes seeing somthing you once liked, way too often, on people you find undesirable can ruin it for you... For me anyway.

I love Anna Nicole (yeah, so I'm pretentious and white trash, isn't that lovely) but find her undesirable at the same time. She totally ruined both big sunglasses, AND pickles for me... Anyone else know what I mean, or am I just silly? confused

OMG, you haven't flashed your mum yet? DO IT! I swear, it is like the bestest time EVER!

I'm married, have kids, and way over the age of consent, but love to see her shocked, how sad is that. She SO asks for it though. She always LOVED asking me questions about my sex life, cause it embarrassed me, so, one day I got smart and gave her what she didn't really want- THE TRUTH! HAHAH! Think that would teach her, eh? Nope. Sometimes, I even exagerate, just to shut her up, but she is getting immuned. She also has scarred me by sharing WAY too much of that "Your father and I, last night...." stuff. So I couldn't wait to flash her when I got the VCH.

Sadly, I didn't get the rise out of her that I hoped for, I just got - "Some one other than your husband looked at your snatch eek ?! I don't know you shocked !"

That was sorta funny... But then, to get her revenge, she told DAD! Ahhhh!! That sucked. He wouldn't look at me for a week.

Then when hubby got a frenum, to embarass us (no, he didn't flash her, so I just told her about it)she asked at Thanksgiving(or was it Christmas, oh hell, I forget)Dinner, she says "Hey everyone, did ya hear, David got a piercing in his pecker to match his wifes vagina!" shocked Funny though, I must admit.

Then, she 'accidently' let it slip in a phone conversation with my mother in law... Yeah, accident my ass. My mother in law called back crying! "David! Why?! I can't even imagine... I mean sure gay men do that, but... you have KIDS!" He was all "Yeah, but mom, how often do the kids see my penis? I mean, really, get over it." And then she admited that she was most upset over it because he didn't tell her! She said "You guys tell Lisa's mom everything! I had to hear about my son's d*ck from THAT WOMAN!"

HAHAHAH, that was funny. We didn't tell her because she is like, evil and stuff. Anyway, I think I have been typing about this for like, too long, so Imma go eat somthing and quit going on forever about nothing....

I don't mind that other people have the same piercings as me, because I had mine done for personal reasons. I just resent being grouped in with the kids who have piercings for fashion reasons, or because "all their friends have it", or as something to show off.
I dislike the kids who are like this.
I am not a fashion slave, nor am I particularly alternative or extreme. I just like having piercings.
