HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! The evil Father of my family won't let me get my belly button pierced. Because he thinks i'm too young. Lets says that when he's other kid got he's ear piered at age 21 and he still had a cow over it!!! MY dad is so over protective please help!!!!If anyone can tell me who this Joe person is please tell me. Honestly? I wouldn't get the navel done at 13 (I'm presuming that your birthdate is correct in your profile). There's a whole lot of physical change going to be happening over the next few years. Have you talked to any professional piercers about getting it done, what their opinions are? I mean, ears, tongue, nose and lips don't change much in that time frame (13-18), but everything from the neck down sure does.

I also think you are too young. Your reasoning for giving a deadline completely won't fly with your parents. "Mommy, I've gotta get it done this day because my friend is, please I just have to!"
Though I will congragulate you on your ability to use real words online, unlike most other people asking about navel peircings. That shows maturity. But on the other hand, I forget who, but someone brought up an excellent point about your body changing. I'm 19 and my body is a lot different than it was last year (damn freshman 15...).
Basically I'd say wait till you are older, are you aware that navel peircings can take up to a year or more to fully heal? They need to be kept clean, and left alone for this entire time.
And in regards to convincing parents, if you want something, NEVER give them a deadline, especially not in the near future.

I, too, agree that you are too young. I also read your profile, and your interests (if you let them progress any farther than the kissing) will definitely be a problem for you. I have had my navel done twice, and I took care of it properly, but still didn't have anything but problems. Now this is just me, I am not saying this happens to everyone. There are so many things to think about, ie... your pants rubbing it, wanting to go swimming in the near future, athletics in school, etc... The list goes on.

Your dad may be a little uptight about stuff like this, but he just may be doing you a favor too.

I'm not sure exactly what help you would like us to give you. Come over and break a few of his fingers? Seriously, there's not much we can do for you. Joe (Fuzznose) has a speech he copies often to posts like this one...I'm sure if you search for other "I'm underage and my parents won't let me get pierced please help" posts you will find it. It involves reasoning with your parents and demonstrating responsibility, etc. But if that doesn't work the only advice I can give you is wait until you are old enough to do it legally and without any negative repercussions from your parents (ie supporting yourself). Your navel will still be there then...

Yes and all of the stuff on my profile is right yes I like to make out and kiss but everyday but, i'm sure all of you haven't done stuff like that you should try it. Yes i'm 13 and that whole May 5th thing my dad don't know about that. I don't wanna get pierced because my friends are it is because I think it's beatiful and my screen name has nothing to with me being evil or devilish, or even anything close to that. I'm just a happy, preppy, 13 year older teenager, who thinks that body piercing is a beautiful, creative way to express ones slef. So if you have a problem with that i'm sorry about that.I happen to be VERY opinionated person.
