I've caught the piercing bug, and I think I'm ready to get pierced. I just can't figure out where! Like the subject title says, I'm trying to decide between cartilage and eyebrow. From what i've seen in the "personal experiences" section, neither is too painful. Any opinion would be appritiated.

Really it is up to you. What do you want done first? You could get both done, but that is up to you. Do you have a job, do they allow visable piercings (besides your ear)? Hope that helps, good luck on you piercing.

Which piercing do you want the most? If you can't afford it now, wait until you get all the money and do it then. The piercing isn't going anywhere, so you have plenty of time, there isn't a rush. Just save the money.

I know a lot of piercers charge less for a 2nd piercing in the same session. But it's whatever you want to get first and which one's aftercare you feel like going through right now. Have fun

I agree with Chuck Piercings arent about what other people think...you are the one who'll have to look after it, and live with it.....so go with your gut feeling. But just keep in mind that you need money after the initial piercing for aftercare products, like sea salt. Good luck with whichever one you decide to get! -jess

I've figured it out! I wanna get my right eyebrow done once, and the cartilage on my left ear done twice. Probably wait until the first cartilage heals before I do the second. Gotta convince my parents to let me do any of them first.

Why wait to get the second cart done? You're going to be healing, cleaning and aftercare-ing that ear anyhow. Why not just get both at the same time?

I'm gonna try and see what is supposedly so wrong according to my parents about getting an eyebrow piercing. Maybe they think that it's still done with piercing gun?

Personally, I say go for a cartilage piercing; maybe something a little out of the 'ordinary'. Maybe a rook, a daith, etc? I really don't like how eyebrow piercings look. I do them everyday, but just don't like them. No matter how beautifully placed, how perfect the jewelry, they just never look like they belong there- BUT that is just my PERSONAL opinion. Do what you like.

The main reason I finally chose on an eyebrow is that if I wanted any piercing on my ears to be visable, it'd have to be a really big ring on a lobe, since my hair is between 5 and 6 inches long. I'm still thinking, but right now most efforts are on turning my parents so that they will allow me to get any piercing at all.
Maybe some day when I figure out how I can keep my hair long, but be able to have a visable cartilage (or other ear piercing) I'll get something else. Maybe just pull all the hair back into a tail? Little braids that stick upward? Dreadlocks?

fan of dreadlocks. they look hot. But keep them "clean" looking. I have a friend that has these nastey dreads they just kindda look like he has dirty hair that is never brushed. Not very fun.

Actually, I'm officially banned from geting dreads no matter what (until I'm 18 at least :p ) because I was bribed by my mom. She said if I didn't get dreads, then she'd buy me a duster (coat). Well of coarse there is no place in town that sells dusters, and I can't wear full-length coats to school, so I got stuck with a micro-suade jacket. *Hits head on table* I don't know why I cooperated. Oh well. I'm gonna give the piercing thing a rest, a couple months maybe, and work on the hair situation. I wanna try and see if there is anyplace that can dye it some sort of platinum color. Thanks for reading my rantings!

As a person who was restricted as a teen for the most part, and now a mother Ive often thought about teenagers getting pierced. I wish my parents would've allowed me to get pierced when I was still in school and didnt have to worry about a job so I could enjoy the piercings. Right now I was so much I want done and cant because I have school coming up and eventually getting a job as well. Personally I think if a teenager is responsible enough to take care of the piercing and it will show in other aspects of their life before they actually have the piercing I think they should be able to get it. Im speaking as a parent here, I know if my son wanted something and I knew he was capable I would say yes and my husband who hates piercings said he would agree as well. It just doesnt make sense to me, let teenagers enjoy their freedom before they get into the real world as long as they are responsible enough to handle it. Thanks for letting me ramble.

I wouldn't worry about people not being able to see your piercings. I've got about 3 feet of hair over here, and have my cart and tragus done. I didn't get them to show to other people, but they are definitely seen, even with my hair down. Not "in your face", but seen all the same.
