i got my nose pierced about a month ago. i recently changed it because the gaged piercing that i got pierced with wouldn't go through my nose anymore. so i got a smaller nose screw that's sterling silver.
anyway, i just noticed this like 10 minutes ago, but i have a white bump on my nostril now. when i took my nose screw out, green puss came out. i don't think that's good. i don't want to have to let my piercing close up, but it's painful sometimes and i'm really afraid that my body is rejecting it.
help sad

**editing this** i actually took a better look at it and it's a little more reddish. and when i put my nose screw back in, the bump pops and kind of forms over again, like a pimple.

Hmmm normal lymph is usually a clear/white/yellowish colour...when it's green that tends to mean infection and you need to go to the Dr to clear that up and keep the nose screw in no matter what the Dr says..because it needs a way to drain.

However sometimes blood can form, especially in such a fresh piercing plus changing it so early will not help...only hinder the healing process.

I might let someone else take over with advice though.

Also, sterling silver isn't the best thing for a new piercing. Some people can't even wear it in healed piercings, and for something that's still healing, you ought to use good quality stainless steel or titanium really.

Also, stop taking the jewelery in and out so much! If you'd left the original jewelery in, it wouldn't have had the opportunity to "not go throug your nose anymore," would it?

Also, it's red, has green puss, those are both signs of infection. Is it hot to the touch? that's another good sign. Anyway, you could try going to the piercer and asking if they can help you get the not silver jewelery back in (which will help with healing, but won't fix an infection), and you could try going to the doctor about the infection.

Like Brezza said, no matter what the Dr. says, don't take the nose screw out. If there's an infection, you don't want it to get trapped inside your nose, and the jewelery will let it drain.

Good luck!

i would wash it a couple times a day and STOP touching it. then when it heals take the sterling silver out, you could be allergic to the metals in it.
