I've gotten small keloids since I was a kid, but they have always gone away. I've gotten a couple piercings that have devoloped keloids, and almost all of them went away after a couple weeks. I got a keloid on my tragus eight months ago and it's still here! I've tried the sea salt, tee tree oil, and the asprin paste but nothing is working! Is there anything else I can try?

Try going to see a doctor. Keloids don't just go away (and certainly not after a couple weeks).

Maybe swing by the piercer's first or not.. but don't self diagnose and talk yourself into believing it's a keloid.

I agree with what PuncturedPrincess said.

You need to get it checked out to determine exactly what it is. Check with your piercer, and if he says it IS a keloid you'll need to go to the doc's to get it treated properly.

Good luck smile

I've heard of certain oils (emu oil for sure, maybe jojoba oil too, maybe vitamin E also?) massaged into skin to help with scarring, but I don't know about using them specifically with keloids. Also, emu oil is not an animal friendly product if you're sensative to that thing. I'd look up those oils I mentioned and see if you want to try that. Good luck!
