I have read on this forum that non-iodized is better. Iodine being a dissinfinctant, I thought iodized sea salt would be better ? What do you think ?

The iodine in salt is meant as a nutritional supplement, not as a topical application. Iodine is good for cleaning the skin prior to piercing (Betadine), but not so good for the wound. It can make the cells swell and burst. It will also discolor gold jewelry.
