What is usually the gauge for a tragus piercing? Mine is 14 and it just seems really big.

I have had my tragus pierced for about 3 and a half months now and I've had a lot of trouble with it. I had little swelling, no pain, nothing for the 6 or 7 weeks I had it, and all the sudden it got bad and it just got angry and still is.

I do the regular cleaning and sea salt...etc...I try not to sleep on it, although I often wake up on that side accidentally...

It's swollen, it's got a big bump on the back and sometimes a little bump on the front, it bleeds and lymphs a lot, it hurts.

My piercer was great, he's done most of my friend's piercings, he knows what he's doing.

I have a curved barbell in there. I talked to one piercer who said the take the barbell out, clean it, clean my ear, and put it back in...but that advice just seemed sketchy to me...he had no visible piercings, why should I trust him smile

Anyway... thanks for all of your help! smile

I got mine pierced around december 17th i think, last year. so far its been healing up pretty well, but I am a pretty quick healer.

I know some other people that started off their tragus piercing with a CBR and said taht as soon as they changed it to a curved barbell or a flatback
i have a flatback in mine and the healing process has been pretty good. i would deffinutely try changing out the ring

happy healing : )
