Comments: Internally threaded barbells are well worth the extra price! The barbells I was pierced with were a bit too short and were hindering healing, so I needed to change them. I knew they would hurt coming out because they were externally threaded. So I purchased these so that the new ones wouldn't hurt going in. It had been almost three months when I bought these and healing was going slow. Within a matter of a few weeks, I was doing much better with these in.
