Hey guys... long time since I've posted or even lurked here. Anyway, I FINALLY got tattooed. Two paw prints on my right shoulder - one from each of my kittens. Here's my problem:

I sadly didn't get any real aftercare info from the artist short of using H2Ocean on it several times a day. Doing a quick check on the sites healing files didn't really turn up anything tattoo related. Can some one please give me a quick rundown of the aftercare? Or link me to aftercare instructions?

Just wanted to add my 2 cents in here. I had heard, and recently started using, cocoa butter on my tattoos to heal them. I think it works faster than Bacitricin and I think my color is a little bit better, too. Just a thought for those of you open to trying new things. Smiling

Well, I did it! I sat for just over 5 hours, a feat which the tattoo guy and pretty much everyone else in the shop was very impressed with ("You're a tough chick, don't let anyone tell you different."), and it looks AMAZING! The last hour was the worst because he was finishing up with shading so he was going over tender areas, and basically my entire left side was on fire at that point, but the pain was more than worth it.

I've been thinking of a tattoo to commemorate Katrina. Any suggestions?

what would be the worst, geekiest, corny tattoo you can think of?
for me, it would be getting the shoulder straps from a members only jacket tattoo'd on the tops of your shoulders....it would crack me up for a day or 2 then i would be like wtf did i just do.....

*Note: I know its against Jewish law to get a tattoo, but the way I see it, it is between me and God. And if I feel that God is O.K. with me getting a tattoo then I will get one. I don't answer to any other power. Plus, I don't even want to be buried in a Jewish cemetery, I want my ashes to be scattered in Onadoga lake (a lake in Syracuse, New York, where I was born).

So, I went and got my first tattoo tonight! I'd say around 9:30. Its two Hebrew letters that kind of look like this:

I get my piercings because they make me feel better about myself.

I'm not picking my nose, I'm adjusting my septum.

14g: septum; vertical labret; tongue
10g: lobes
1 left wrist Hebrew tattoo meaning Celebrate Life.

I have been planning a memorial tattoo for my grandmother for a while now, and I think I have finally landed on what I want done! Smiling

I'm about to be saving a ton of money monthly, and so I am going to set aside some cash for tattoos. I'm going to budget in how much I can pull monthly, but this should be the start of my big project! Laughing out loud

Ok so me, my dad and my sister have been planning on getting a tattoo together for almost a year now. But in that time, I still can't figure out what I wanna get. The thing I had originally wanted was to get caricature of them looking silly, but I dont know how to get that done, would a tatttoo artist be able to draw caricature from a picture? I there some other place I can go to get it done and just bring it in to the tattoo artist?

They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can’t kill the beast
