My wife has a 12 ga 5/8" straight bar that was the original jewelry. I ordered her a couple of curved to try out, the same size. The jewelry arrived yesterday and as any good woman she was ready to model the new stuff. To her surprise and mine the curved seems much longer than the straight. It sticks out the bottom a good ways. So my question is - Do you need to downsize the length of a curved so that it does not protrude so much?

i used to have a side labret.. i ended up taking it out a few years ago, but am going to get it repierced.... I never had any problems before but just as a precaution, when it is well healed, what is the best material of jewelry to wear long term in preventing gum recession/dental problems??? bioplast? acrylic? ss? by the way i only wear flatbacks, no rings or lippy loops, no fishtails, etc....

i think i may get some of that orthodontist wax to put on it daily....

I'm not suggesting that you ought to do this. In fact, I think it's a lame-brained idea. Plus, it's billed as cheaper, but you need tools, you need to order, or drive around to find the materials . . .

Why not go to your piercer to do it? Fast, professional, you don't need to buy your own tapers. Don't understand!

I saw these things for the first time on here: J Curved Barbells. It says that they're ideal for navel piercings but I can't for the life of me figure out *how*...unless you want a lot of barbell sticking out the bottom...

Anyone have any experience with these? What the heck are they for?

I am interested in black coated tunnels such as the Blackluster Tunnel. I do have several allergies, so it would be important for me to know what the tunnel is coated with. it just says PVD coating but not what the coating itself is. Speaking from the color, it might be boron carbide but it might also be something completely different. Does somebody know what the coating is made with?
