I have been wanting to have my tongue pierced for about 3 years. I knew my mom would never let me get it done so I had to wait until I was 18. I did A LOT of research on this topic because I wanted to be well prepared. So here is how the procedure went... washed my mouth out with sum nasty stuff *it burned... yes it did*.... he told me to stick my tongue out so he could dot it and all that... then he told me to lay down... he told me that he would slant my piercing a little bit because my tongue is so short... he told me to breathe in and breathe out real deep.... but DUMB ME didnt listen and took the shortest breath possible... and lemme tell u, IT HURT! I dont care who says that it jus felt like a little prick. For me, it didnt! But honestly, I think it was because I didnt listen and didnt breathe like he told me to. *make sure u LISTEN* The worse part was him putting the ball on and tighting it. It didnt bleed or anything. My tongue has been done for about 6 hours and is a little uncomfortable, but no serious pain. It does feel a little weird with a big bar in your mouth, but I like it. Im going to have 2 get the bar changed to the shortest size whenever possible. My piercing was done by Chris at NewBreed in Lafayette, Indiana. If you wanna know if Id do it again, YES! But next time Id LISTEN! If you are thinking about it, make sure you read about the risks involved and all that good stuff. Know something about it before you go.
