This last august (2008) I decided to go get my nose done. I had done it myself the previous year, but it didn't go all the way through so I took it out. I was always intending to get it redone, but I never did. Finally I got up the nerve, and I asked my mom to take me that day. Since it was a Sunday, there was no where open, but we did make an appointment for the next morning at a local hair salon.
I admit it. I'm a wuss. I wanted my nose pierced very badly, and it was only this that kept me from turning around on my way to the piercing studio. I was having heart palpitations the whole way. I got there just before closing, and no one seemed terribly excited to see me. They just stared at me expectantly until I blurted out, "is there someone here who could pierce my nose?"
"Since I was a young man (I played the silver ball)" I've wanted my eyebrow pierced. Facial piercings, especially eyebrows, were still relatively new and uncommon and still seemed different during the years I yearned to have it done. I'm not even sure what sparked the notion in my pre-pubescent noodle to have a metal ring shoved through the meaty part of my face above my eye. I just knew it looked badass and I wanted one. It wouldn't be until the ripe and experimental age of 19 that the subject of my narcissistic self-modifying fantasy would become a reality.
i self pierced my tragus on my left ear last night. I used a safety pin, just pushed it through, didn't hurt at all, But it was really long and i couldn't close it so i took it out, and re-pierced it with another safety pin, that hurt a little bit, then that wouldn't close either so i took it out and pushed a earring post through, THAT HURT! with 2 pops! at first pop it was loud and scared me lol like. ......... POP! then more pushing POP! and it was through. it looks soo cute and now i have 2 matching traguses! im doing my conch next,
go for it traguses really don't hurt at all!
I'd wanted my tragus pierced for years, but was (naively) put off by the using of a needle. Anyway, my mate wanted a tattoo doing and she agreed to finally get it done if I got my tragus done. Deal. I didn't know of any piercers in the local area, so trawled the yellow pages until we found one that could fit in both the tattoo and the piercing - probably not the best sign.
So, after not wearing my 27 year-old septum piercing much at all since the 1980s, I decided to run an experiment and try wearing it now that I am older. I tried two things: wearing a U-shaped retainer type "out" and wearing a small captive segmented loop (5/16") with "rainbow" coloring. Amazingly enough, I got two compliments from young women (strangers) while wearing the retainer. I got one compliment from a younger woman (someone I worked with in a professional setting) with the loop and a "cool" from one guy I also work with.
i got my inner conch done 3 maybe 4 years ago (cant really remember) well it didnt hurt at all...i was surprised that a lobe piercing was more painful! wtf? lol anywho i have kept the CBR in the whole time i prefer it over a barbell was more comfortable for me.
overall it was my favorite piercing to get and it looks awesome on anyone.

I had my septum done many years ago (early 1980s). I stopped wearing it many years ago as well--I guess I got a career and responsibilities and all. The hole never went away (two holes actually, but that is another story), nor did the memory--years later, I have always felt somewhat "naked" without it. Strange, I seemed to have been "imprinted" somehow. Odd things would pop in my mind from time to time, like if I had a dream that I was wearing jewelry it would be a septum piece of some kind and not the more common earrings or whatever.
So there was this Tatoo/ Peircing shop in thie marketsquare in the outskirts of London I went to, just a little shop down in the basement of some place. The people there were realy friendly and helped me decide on which peircing would be best for me and explained all precations and procedures afteri got my peircing done. The most important thing is asking to see their tools and stuff to make sure everything is sterilized and after i saw that it was a realy clean place i chose to get my eyebrow peirced. It was pretty painless it was more the excitement that realy got me hyped.
About a week ago I decided to get my orbital done on my upper right ear. I went to the place where all my friends told me to go. He used the cork and needle method. He also used a 12 gauge needle and a 14 gauge ring. The first hole did not hurt as bad as the second but it bled a lot. According to my friends that came with me it sounded like I was having an orgasm as the needle went through, but no it was just my reaction to the pain. The 2nd hole hurt much worse and my reaction to that needle was a long string of cuss words.
