About a week ago I decided to get my orbital done on my upper right ear. I went to the place where all my friends told me to go. He used the cork and needle method. He also used a 12 gauge needle and a 14 gauge ring. The first hole did not hurt as bad as the second but it bled a lot. According to my friends that came with me it sounded like I was having an orgasm as the needle went through, but no it was just my reaction to the pain. The 2nd hole hurt much worse and my reaction to that needle was a long string of cuss words.

i sae this a long time ago and thought it looked diffenerent. like not many people got it. so i wanted it. a few years later i finaly got it in my middle ear. it hurt because the second hole wasnt exactly positioned. it stretched the catilage and caused extreme pain. now that its healed, it looks awesome and iove it. =]

I got both my ears done in 2000, 12g. They hurt. I got them before I redid my lobes.

I LOVE IT. mine is in the lobe part of my ear. its a 10 guage both holes. with the ball to the back so it just looks like a thick...staple. it didnt hurt to bent the 10 through but as long as you do the wright measuring first. the bottom hole i did my self with a BB gun in my bathroom (not a good idea:( ). and the second my firend did one night . but before we did the second hole my first was all ready a 10. so we did some measuring and junk. bam stuck another hole in me. with in 4 weeks i had it up too a 10 guage.

I got my orbital done on my lower cartilage. My friend paid for it as a birthday present, so long as I got it done at a 6 gauge. I don't think at that time I realized just exactally how big of a chunk a 6 gauge needle would take out of my ear. The upper hole was painful, but not too bad. I had a stream of blood running down my ear, but I was ok. By the time he got the needle through the second time, I was gripping the chairand ready to stab my friend with a 6 gauge needle.

Well, I decided that an orbital piercing would be muchos cool, as it is not very popular. c'mon, nobody wants a piercing that every johnny popular and his mother has, so pick something that no one else is wearing. Anyways, the piercer guy said that he doesn't get very many of these types of piercing, mostly because it's two holes at once, healing on the same ring (more on that later). After sanitizing my cartilage (alcohol and iodine solutions), he explained to me that he was going to use a 12aug needle and a 14aug ring to alieviate pressure and leave good room for healing.
