In all honesty- I'm a body mod addict. But my piercings were usually limited to my face. So about a few weeks ago I was really wanting a piercing and I talked my friend into coming with me. I had no idea what I planned on getting- but on the car ride over there I became pretty adamant about getting a sternum piercing.
We get in there and the piercer (Dan) has a few other clients before me. My heart is already going a mile a minute and I babble non-stop to my friend to try to mask my nervousness.
Well, I got my nape pierced today. Very interesting experienced. This was my 13th piercing, so I basically knew the procedure and whatnot. I used a 45 12G surface bar. My piercer explained that she would pierce the tissue with a 14G needle and then gauge with a 12G bar. The needle didn't even hurt! It was the gauging that was the bitch. Not that it was excruciating, she just lost it halfway through! Oops! Anyway, at the end, it all turned out fine. Besides a little bleeding, it looks wonderful and I am very happy with it!
I got a corset piercing on my back with 10 12g captive bead rings... it was the most intense piercing i've had so far... feel free to email me if you have any questions. there are pictures of this on my myspace. www.myspace.com/pokedbyjes
My piercing: SternumJust a few days ago I was on this site looking for info and reading other people's experiences on this piercing and now I'm writting my own. There really isnt much to say about this piercing. It didnt take too long. He marked me up and let me make sure it would be in the spot I want, and told me how to take care of it. Then I laid down on the table and started my deep breathing. Within a few seconds the needle was through and he was putting in the jewlery. That part hurt the most sice I got mine with a surface bar.
My nape love started when i went to a Mudvayne concert a few years ago. The show had not yet started so everyone was just walking around the club where it was held, and thats when I saw her. This girl with pretty pink hair and then I saw this thing on her neck and I thought it was so amazing!
after piercing a friend of mine (frenum piercing) I decided I wanted to have a new piercing myself, hehe, so I took a curved barbell, marked the spots (from thumb web in the direction of my wrist, on the surface), took a needle and poked it in my right hand with my left hand (no, I'm not left handed). I saw the needle moving under my skin and tried to push it out when it reached the other marking. that was a hard job, and it hurt like hell.

I had my left wrist pierced. It didn't hurt at all to get, only when it got knocked around. I was doing cheerleading at the time so it got hit and pulled on a lot. After about 6 months I noticed that it was starting to reject so I just took it out.
i have wanted a surface piercing for about a yr n was originally looking to get my nape done. i have really long hair n wash it every day so in the end i thought this was a bad idea as my body rejects things really easily. so instead i decided i wanted a cleavage piercing, i read around them for ages and eventually booked an appointment at punktured in brighton. the guys in there are wicked and i specifically asked for tom because he always made me feel really comfortable in the past.so i waited a week for my appointment. that morning i was so nervous. i was proper sick to my stomach.
I have wanted surface bars on the tops of my wrists for a good while now and finally I saved up some money and got it done. I had researched the piercing before I got it, but not to the extent that I should have. I looked into the chance of rejection and other people's experiences with this type of pierce but what I didn't realize was that there are specific types of surface bar that should be used. When I went in for my surface bars, the guy I had previously used was on vacation and this other piercer was in.
