i got my belly button pierced at 11 from my dad my mom was so agianst it thats the main reason i wanted it lol so my dad took me and my older sister who was 13 at the time.

Now, to start off with I think it is important I explain how I grew up. My father is Jewish, my mother is Catholic, and my household has always been very . . . eclectic religion-wise. But I had a Bat Mitzvah, went to hebrew sunday school for a few years, yadda yadda ANYWAY. I had always been told I could not, under any circumstances, get any piercings other than in my earlobes or any tattoos - otherwise I would never be allowed to be buried in a Jewish cemetery if I should someday choose to be.

I got my navel pierced when I was 14, as a birthday gift from my dad. I've always loved it, and didn't have any problems with it in the beginning. The shop I got pierced at told me to use Bacitracin on it, which probably wasn't the best thing, and may have contributed to the problems I had later, but I can't be sure.

IIRC, it was painful but not all that bad, really wasn't sore afterward and no blood or crusties...it healed beautifully at first.

I bought a kit and had a friend do this for me. It didnt hurt a bit.

got my navel pierced for second time about a month ago. just alttle bit of pain but other than that its healing fine LOVES IT!!

I was 12 when i had my navel pierced so this is looking back a year. I had wanted my navel pierced for ages but my parents had always said no. After a month of tears and tantrum, hinting and moaning they finally gave in. They didn't approve at all they just gave in too shut me up. The day after i found myself in the tattoo place shaking with nerves. I expected it to half kill me with the pain but by the time hed clamped it and stuck the needle through i didnt feel a thing (this is without numbing) when the jewlery was in i was buzzing like a bee.

Well Im 16..And I got my belly button pierced when I was 15, as a christmas present from my boyfriend. I went to Moniques Euro tattoo parlour in Auckland, New Zealand. They were very clean and professional. I was freaking out over it as this was my first major piercing. My b/fs sister was getting her first tattoo at the same time, so everyone was prettty anxious. He marked me up, swabbed my belly button. Told me to lay down and then in like a second the needle was in and out. And I had a new piercing!.
