I had a titanium labret stud. The needle went through. It only stung a bit when it came out the back (inside) of my lip. Nothing much. They're pretty easy to take care of, too.

It's almost healed up! Well, not "truly" healed, as it takes quite a few weeks for it to do that, but I'm about past the "first two weeks" mark now; thankfully...because I couldn't eat/drink dairy products or anything with yeast during that time...which means no beer for two weeks! Torture.

So, I went to a piercer, it was my first time going to that particular shop but it was a comfortable place. They had a good rep and it was associated with the other shop I went to.
He wasn't in yet because he had to step out to go to a family event.
I signed my name, paid my money and waited till he was settled. There was a discussion with what the piercing was exactly, so I had to explain. He still wasn't exactly sure so he set it up and just asked questions and I explained.

This is about my experience with my lip rings, I hope it helps you if you are thinking of getting one done.

When I got my first piercing I had my lip pierced. I had only had my ears pierced before, which I had done when I was 2 years old and really don't remember. Sadly, they pierce my ears lop sided, one side is pierced higher up then the other side! I decided to get my lip done. I chose a thin ring in he center of my lip. I called and made an appointment with a piercer who dated one of my good friends. I was so excited, I had been wanting to have it done for a long time!

My first piercing (other then my ears which I had done when I was 2 years old) was a center lip ring. One day, I had to unexpectedly take it out for my job. Even though I had it out for only an hour, I wasn't able to get the jewelry back in. It had nearly closed up in such a short time! I wasn't able to make it to the piercing shop for help that night, so it closed up and I was really upset about it.

A week ago today, I had my lip pierced. I had been debating whether or not I wanted to do it for over a year, but I finally gave in and did it. It was a rather symbolic thing to me - what finally pushed me to do it was the fact that the past two months for me have been a whirlwind of activity, and a lot has changed in the way I look at the world (in a positive way)...so I had a little physical modification done to remind me to stay in this much healthier state of mind.

Hey i got a very big problem with my upper lip piercing one part of da jewerly got stock in my skin jus wanna know what can i do should i go 2 da doctor or da place were they made da piercing?

So i got my left side pierced 8 days ago on vacation (no parents the piercing itself hurt a little but quit like 20 minutes later. Went and partied in hawaii two days later. What A BITCH! i woke up the next morning and my lip was totally swollen and really sore. it's recovering now and doing fine, but i advise not drinking for at least a week unless you take real good care of it directly afterwards. It looks awesome and im glad i did it(minus that little incident)

i have snakebite piercings. they have fully healed but have recently become sore and red around the site. has anyone else experienced this? and whats the best way to treat it? help/advice would be very much appreciated. thanks xxx
