About a year ago my wife said kinda' off handed, "Baby, you'd look hot with a penis piercing." To which I replied, "You've got a better shot of seeing God twice on Tuesday dressed in drag." But oh I didn't realize the seed had been planted. Steel shoved through my unit without benefit of a car accident or radical insurance adjusting (my career field)incident? No f'ing way....

Flash forward to one month ago. She mentioned it again in passing, so I decided for some weird reason to look at some pictures. I saw the frenum piercing and it's like someone flipped a switch...I wanted it and bad! It got so bad that every time I went to pee, I imagined it there. So pay day was coming and the finances worked out! I was going to get it done at a place in CT we used for her labret. I'm the 'research it' kind of guy. I read this site and others for what to expect pain wise and healing wise, as well as what jewelry was best and such. I read and re-read to the point that in my mind, the piercing was already done. One last call this morning to confirm they had the jewelry I wanted and disaster struck...I was told that the piercer would only place a loop!!!! An f'ing loop? He said the bar bells get infected too easy. Right, sure, I'm no piercer, not even a piercing 'junky' so to speak, but no way in hell are you putting a 10ga hoop in my oh so virgin gear.

Plan B. I Google searched for the "#1 rated piercer in Syracuse", which is where I work. And there it was, Scarab Body Art, about a block from the garage my wife and I park in! I called and talked to the owner/piercer John and he put me immediately at ease. A 10 minute walk after work and my wife and I walked into a bright, clean, professional studio. John answered my last question regarding gauge and after seeing the 10ga next to the 8ga, decided on the 8! Go big or go home I guess. 10 minutes later I'm on the table getting marked up. John took the time to make sure I was marked properly and through the entire process, he was so easy going and professional that I, afraid of needles guy, was completely at ease. One sharp pinch and that was it. Done. Pierced and proud.

Moral of the story? Research + more research + even more research + desire + a true piercing professional = An amazing experience. That was 6 hrs ago and I'm still giddy and my wife is licking her lips dying to try it out! Thanks John, you were amazing!
