I got my tragus pierced two days ago and so far its lookin good Smiling I've been cleaning it with sea salt and water twice a day(no soap as its always irritated my skin), kept my hair up, no touching unless im cleaning it and just trying not to whack it as that would cause problems lol. It's a little bruised at the moment and when i smile really big or squint it kinda hurts but not bad at all. Tips on aftercare are appreciated- i've heard this ones a fussy healer!

Very cute! Tragus' heal

Very cute!

Tragus' heal pretty well as long as you aren't a chronic "flipper." I flipped mine up and down all the time for the first month and on day 30 - WHAM! Big nasty bump. It eventually went away, but I did it to myself.

I forgot that smiling felt weird! Lol. Soaking is fine just make sure you dry it well.

PS - uLove your av

Congrats, it looks awesome Smiling
Sounds like your doing everything right for it, just try to watch how you sleep, as it can agrivate it if you sleep on it too much.

So everyhing was going

Posted on October 3, 2008, 7:59 am

So everyhing was going okay...or so i thought. There is a small pink bump on the front hole now. It hurts if i touch the bump but otherwise the piercing as a whole doesnt hurt. The only thing i have changed was i started using soap to clean it instead of salt water. Do you think that could have lead to the bump?
I had a bump on my belly button for months and it was the worst. I tried everything to get rid of it from asprin paste, to only sss to tea tree oil and nothing worked. I really dont want to go through that again with my ear but everything i've read is different. I'm confused on how to make it go away.

I think it's a 95% chance of getting a bump on tragus piercings, it's sooo common. So the bump you just got is not a surprise at all unfortunately. I still have a bump that comes on and off after a year of having the piercing!

Don't worry though, just try not to whack it (this makes bumps worse) and it's a matter of patience and time
