I wonder why someone would hide a pregnancy if they plan to have the baby.. it's gotta come out sometime!

That is so sad.

Sadly it happens more than you would think. When I was 15 my friend (also 15) got pregnant and didn't tell anyone. The night she went into labour was when her parents (who she lived with) found out.

Thats what I was telling her when I called to see how she was doing. She hid the pregnancy but had the baby. What did she expect to happen? At least this is not a case where she has the baby and dumps it in a trash can. But still very sad.

I guess her little sister is so traumitized and is scared to go into the bathroom now

Here a 16 yr old hid her pregnancy, delivered the baby in the bathroom, then put the baby in a box and left it on a neighbors door step. When the baby was found it had froze to death. The sad thing is that in Illinois all she had to do was take it to any police or fire station and they would take the baby, no questions asked.

That's so sad. Especially when you have so many couples who would love to have a baby, and can't, like Rob and I.

These stories are awful, and like Brytax said, it's such a shame for those who can't have a baby of their own.

how the hell do u hide a pregnancy? I mean it's not like you just look fat. Your uterus parts look fat and nothing else.

Wel she texted me this morning. The sister has decided that is is best to put the baby up for adoption. So at least the baby will go to a loving home and to a family that possibly can not have kids and have a chance at a healthy life. Not sure if the baby is healthy or not. She really has not given me too much info on that.

We are all just thnakful she did not dump the baby, and is putting her up for adoption instead of taking care of a baby she just does not want.

In NJ we also have the thing where you can take the baby to any hospital, police or fire station and never have to say a word.

I don't understand carrying a pregnancy to term and then not keeping the baby...but at least she is not going to make the babeh suffer cuz she's a flippin twit.

I donjt understand it either but who knows how people think when they go through things like this. She did say it was a hard choice for the family cuz sure she hid it but the baby is till family. I know I could ever carry a baby full term then give him/her up. But then again she hid the pregnancy, got no prenatal care so she did not get "attached" to the pregnancy like most woman do. And shes still so immature. She just turned 17 and from what I have been told so very immature for her age.

Still this is all still so crazy. Its like a lifetime movie. Indiana has the Safe Place drops as well. All police stations, and fire houses you can drop off your baby no questions asked.

I am really glad she is putting it up for adoption. It doesn't sound like she is in any position to care for a child right now, and with any luck at all that baby will go to a couple who will love it and take very good care of it.

Their family is in my thoughts, for sure. Keep us posted.

I will. I am not at work today I get to go work the booth at the 4 h Fair so I wont be at the center. Ill probably get more info tomorrow. If that baby is healthy it will be a miracle. Yesterday she said "My dad said she looks healthy" But that was after being at the hospital a few hours. So not sure. I am sure they are running test after test now. With no prenatal care who know. I do know the family eats very very poorly. I mean like fast food and take out/away every night. They do no healthy home cooked meals. So ya they eat crappy food. The sister does work out a bit cuz shes in marching band....so I dunno. If she was not showing at 9 months that baby had to be underweight.

My friend who just had a baby at 6/5 pounds still showed a lot so I am just so confused. I can see how my friend at work could hide it cuz shes a big girl, but according to my friend her sister is like my size (fluffy)

Anyway Ill find out some today maybe cuz Im going to sit at the 4 h booth with her close friend so she may have found out more then me.

That is very disheartening...if put up for adoption, at least the baby will have a shot at a decent life.

Keep this in mind Pagan, unless they know someone they're just going to give the baby to, adoptions are hectic and incredibly expensive. So you typically won't have some broke down a*hole get a baby that way, that's one good thing, those people really want kids. The cheapest agency we've found so far charges 25,000, not including lawyer's fee's, travel expenses, or any of that.

I heard a story on tv where a girl hid her pregnancy, delivered the baby in her bathroom in her parents house, cut the cord with a hair clip, and I believe she said she stabbed the baby to death with the hair pin. She is serving prison time but says she doesnt believe she should because she doesnt even know if the baby was alive when it was born. Then she put it in a duffel bag and dumped it in a swamp. She said her boyfriend would walk on her stomach while she was pregnant to make sure her stomach wouldnt stick out.

Well I guess she said her sister did not know she was pregnant. Whether that is trie or not I dunno. She said her sister just last week went swimming in a bathing suit and did not look pregnant. The doctor said sometimes it is very possible because of the guess since she already had a "poochy" tummy it did not show any more and she carried it up towards her ribs, or so the doctor said. She had her period the entire pregnancy. She is young so who know when the baby moved what she thought was happening. She is either a very good liar or just clueless. But ya like I said shes been going to band practice in shorts and tanks tops so you know if school would have noticed they would have said something. She goes to band camp in 2 weeks, can you imagine if she would have had the baby then? She tikd her family when she was having labor pains that she thought she was having bad cramps, then when she felt the baby coming out she was not sure what was going on, thats why she ran to the toliet and sat down, next thing she knew a baby came out. crazy! Guess it was all night she was "not feeling good" and "having cramps" To me its insane but I guess for a 16/17 year old if you honestly do not know you are pregnant and you are clueless about stuff like that, then it could happen. I asked my mom who is a nurse and she said it happens more often then people think, being preggers and not knowing.

So the latest is she signed the adoption papers but the dad won't. She wont put his name on the birth cert, but he has 30 days to fight it. But still she has legal custody. If he still tries she is going to sign the baby over to her parents then they will legally adopt the baby out to someone. I guess there is two familes who want her. One is a doctors family , and the other is a family whos 5 month old baby just passed recently.

Anyway thats the latest. Not sure what to beleive, but all I know is my co worker is acting like a brat. She wishes the baby dead, calls her an it and refuses to see her. Shes spoiled and I think what the deal is she wanted to be the first to have a child and she isn't. All attention is on her sister now and will be for a while. I told her today to get over it. No matter what thats her niece.

But just because a family has money does not mean the baby will have a decent life. They can still have a up life, get abused, mistreated etc. I saw it a lot when I worked with abused kids.

Hopefully what ever family she chose will give this baby the love she deserves and treat her right. Both families did tell her because of the circumstances she can come see her any time. Both live close. They will sned pics etc. Not sure who she ended up choosing but she was thinking long and hard. She met with both families for a long time. She even at her age said it was not about who made the most money, but who would love her baby the most.

Soo...is she the school whore now? Or at least once school is back in? The second one person opens their mouth it will spread like poison ivy.

So far no one knows except family. Its all been very hush hush. Plus the area she lives in I doubt shes the school whore....theres been a lot worse there I am sure.
