I'd avoid plastics of all
Posted on September 16, 2008, 3:42 pmI'd avoid plastics of all types during the healing. Besides the possible health risks, they can easily break and fall out...risking the loss of your piercing completely.
Retainers are intended to keep piercings open when a piercing needs to be "hidden" or otherwise kept open while regular jewelry can't be worn. They usually don't work well for healing a piercing.

In all honesty, I've never
Posted on September 16, 2008, 5:32 pmIn all honesty, I've never had to wear a retainer. I think I'm lucky that way. I'm not really sure what's going to work best to make a new piercing not exceptionally obvious. (I suppose other than not getting it.) Do you have any recommendations for things that would work best for that?

Quartz retainers should be
Posted on September 23, 2008, 6:11 amQuartz retainers should be fine in my opinion.
All the mothers that cry all the fathers who mourn,
For every life that's taken there's another child born.
That doesn't make it better and it doesn't make it right.
I'm just grateful everyday that you came in my life.
