What can people tell me about white ink tattoos? I'd love to get one, but they seem to fade/reject for so many people I don't know whether it's worth while. I'm pale skinned, so I'm probably a good candidate for one, from what I have read up on them.

Just general opinions and experiences would be appreciated.

ive got white highlights on mines which worked out fine and show up brilliantly, though my friend took an allergy to the white ink in hers and its now a peachy sort of colour. id say if you like a tattoo, just go for it, try not to worry too much about allergies as, at the end of the day, you wont know if you will react until ya try Smiling

I'm like.. whiter than white

I'm like.. whiter than white lol, and have gotten some white in some of my tattoos (like the eyes of my dragon and stuff) and you can't even tell the ink was there anymore when it was done around 6 months ago.

It's called STRETCHING your piercings, not gauging them.

The white in my hip tattoo

Posted on October 14, 2008, 7:35 am

The white in my hip tattoo (about 4 years old) still shows just fine.

I have white accents to the rosary beads on my ankle tattoo and you can just barely see they're white. (I'm sure BOTH my tats need touch ups though!)

Mine shows on my pale skin,

Posted on October 27, 2008, 4:10 am

Mine shows on my pale skin, but it's not *white*, just like cream next to my natural skin tone. Plus it's quite patchy/discoloured in areas. Don't tihnk it's faded as such since I got it (been approx 3 years now) but it's never been bright and shiny since it healed. That could be down to artist than ink issues though. Still, not happy with it, debating having it coloured in a brown.

It varies so much, I think it's worth trying if you'd be perfectly happy if it looked pants to choose another colour.

Turpz I think that tattoo

Posted on October 28, 2008, 2:36 pm

Turpz I think that tattoo looks really awesome. It's very subtle. Not really noticeable unless you know it's there, or has a good eye, but I like that about it. It makes it seem more personal.

I could see getting a white tattoo for just that reason. Smiling

Yer I agree with Daeni, thats what I want really. I like them when they're not a block area too, just thin text. I'm definitley considering it. Smiling

That's exactly wanted, my main problem with it is that the colour isn't even, some bits are grey and it doesn't look great.

Maybe the white could be touched up?

Another touch up might help, but already had it done once, and it's scarred quite badly so if I'm going to do anything else to it, I'd rather it just be the once

Ah OK. I notice that it is raised up quite a bit. Some people tend to do that with tats, some don't. *shrugs*

Though even if you get it redone in a darker color it will still need touched up once in a while.
