Hello all! I just got a VCH last Saturday and I love it! uHappy Looks to be healing well at this point, and feels really good.

What I'm wondering is this, after its fully healed, how difficult is it to change the jewelry in it? I would like to go with a CBR if possible.

Should it go in from top to bottom, bottom to top, or does it not matter?

Would some lube on it make it easier to slide in?

Any other helpful advice you have would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Sounds like you have a pretty good grasp of what to expect. Trust your (good) instincts. You're right on all counts. LOL.

I highly advise waiting 4-6 weeks for the jewelry change though.

You sound like a smart lass. As John says 4 to 6 weeks, shoot for the six as it is like chicken soup, may not help, but can't hurt. I think that you will find that the piercing has stretched enough that putting the same gauge jewelry in will not be a problem. A little water soluble lube will help. A warm salt soak after will take the lube away and help the healing as these things can take two to three months for healing.

Thanks Rob! I appreciate the compliment! I was thinking more along the lines of 8 weeks before messing with it. Call me a chicken about changing it! uPinkLol Thanks for the helpful advice, I sure do appreciate it.

It may be tricky to put the CBR in the first time. Top to bottom or vice versa will not matter...choose whichever is easier for you.

One warning for the CBR though - if your partner had any genital work make sure you both wear rings to avoid getting stuck....its not fun.

Thanks Bad Kitty! I'll practice with the curved barbell I have now to get the hang of it before trying the CBR.

And yes, I could see that it would be BAD to get tangled up! Jawdropping!

Screwing the ball on a curved barbell should not be a problem, but putting the bead on a cbr in that area may be a little awkward. If you purchase the cbr at the shop where you were pierced they probably will change the jewelry with no charge for doing it.

Good idea. I dont recall seeing any CBR's at the shop, so I'll have to get one elsewhere. My man will be happy to figure out how to close it for me!

Thanks!

I like the look of rings in my VCH, but for the life of me can't get the bead in a CBR! I bought small ring opening pliers for this and still can't do it. I just compomised and use circular barbells!! Smiling

Think I'm going to stretch

Posted on August 26, 2008, 6:02 pm

Think I'm going to stretch it anyhow, the piercer put in a 16g and I want to go up to a 14g. So I'll just find a nice curved barbell in a few weeks and go with that for now.

Thanks for everyones help!
