get looked at strange? who
Posted on June 13, 2008, 12:39 pmget looked at strange? who are you expecting to wave it at?
get a gauge you're comfortable with and that's proportionate and flattering. You don't want something too small; you want it big enough to be sturdy.
If you regret it, just take it out.

The only people that will
Posted on June 13, 2008, 9:40 pmThe only people that will know that you have a PA are those that you care to tell. 10g is a usual starting point and going to 6g or 4g will give you a decent size. That is all personal preference as to how large you want the jewelry to be.

You should visit some shops
Posted on June 14, 2008, 2:29 pmYou should visit some shops and see if you can find a piercer you are comfortable with and talk it over with them. Quit wankin' over the pics and just do it.

Erm, it's in your pants...
Posted on June 14, 2008, 5:23 pmErm, it's in your pants... the only person that's gonna see it or know about it are any sexual partners you have....
Seriously, if you're worried what other people think, then you aren't ready for it.
If you want it regardless of what others think then go for it.
Remember, people will only know if you tell them, it's no big deal, if you don't like it, then you can take it out.
And it's spelt Gauge.
Typically they do have to be pierced at a higher gauge than normal for comfort, but it's ultimately up to you.
And whoa Cloud, not liking that last sentence, a little harsh
All the mothers that cry all the fathers who mourn,
For every life that's taken there's another child born.
That doesn't make it better and it doesn't make it right.
I'm just grateful everyday that you came in my life.

I know what you mean about
Posted on June 15, 2008, 2:37 amI know what you mean about the guages ... but you won't zip right up to 4g (unless you want to!)
I know what you mean about getting strange looks ... I was worried before ym first PDB as well, but I reasoned like this: If I've laready brought them home, there's quite a high chance they've seen me drunk, shattered and covered in stale beer (since I work in a pub). It's not the "prettiest" part of your body anyway, and if they're in my knickers, I think I'm going to know them well enough to know if they'll be freaked.
Find a good piercer and have a chat. A "Good" piercer will be quite happy to talk to you without doing anything, and will be able to explain/answer questions.
As for the pictures, those are other men's peens, and you're dealing with yours. Worry about what will suit you primarily, and, as Kat said, if you don't like it, you can take it out.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'

My first piercing at the age
Posted on June 18, 2008, 9:23 pmMy first piercing at the age of 70 was a PA which was pierced at 10g , over the years I have stretched it to 0g which I love but that is my preference ! you could stay at 10g and be quite happy . I have no regrets with my PA , I just love it and the few times I`ve taken it out I feel naked

I started with a P.A. and
Posted on June 20, 2008, 12:53 pmI started with a P.A. and later had an Apadravya done. I had a hospital procedure done that required me to remove the Appy barbell and things closed up so I am back to a P.A. 4g as I did not like the feel of nothing there. Gracie is right only those who you want to be intimate with are going to see it. If they do not know, it will be a conversation starter.

just got my third piercing
Posted on June 22, 2008, 8:12 amjust got my third piercing (first two: pubic, and hafada),...my PA three days ago. So far no bleeding,...very little pain. Proceedure was fast and painless. I went in and chatted with the piercer a few days before......then thought about it,...then did it. She pierced me with a 10...looks great.....from what I gather, it is common to at least move up to a 8....I may or may not. Find an experienced piercer, who is knowledgable, and will talk to u....mine for example, told me that she will only pierce on the side of the "tip" where there is no vein......(apparently once the receiving tube is in place,........the one vein running to the tip can be seen, either on the left or right, and she pierces on the opposite side)........Not sure if I am lucky,.....but had 2 drips of blood that afternoon in my boxers,.....and NO blood since........have read many "bloody mess" horor stories........
If u want it-do it. There is nothing like looking down at your
, and seeing a ring going thru the tip!

I got my PA 8 or 9 years
Posted on June 22, 2008, 11:20 amI got my PA 8 or 9 years ago, and I do believe it was pierced at a 10 gauge. Since then I have stretched it out to a 4 gauge. I think I am in a minority, as I have taken mine out for a period for over a year, and was still able to put a 6 gauge back in without a problem, and in a few days later back to a 4 gauge with comfort.
I was pierced with a clasp ball ring, but since then have gone with circular barbells and curved barbells as I have issues with getting the clasp ball to stay in place, and the curved barbells aren't as bulky.
I have no regrets with getting it, and I am not pushing myself hard to up to the next gauge, though I am sure that one day I will get there.
I agree with all the other comments about finding a size that is right for you. Also remember that sexual activity will be off limits pretty much until you heal up, as you don't want to tear or hurt yourself before you have a chance to heal up (6 weeks is what I was told, but I think I waited longer).

OK you have been getting
Posted on June 24, 2008, 8:37 pmOK you have been getting advice for eleven days. Friday will be two weeks. It is time for you to march in to the shop and get your P.A. as it will give you Sat and Sun to relax and let the healing procede. Have fun and happy healing.

I can wear a 00g, but I
Posted on September 4, 2008, 10:03 amI can wear a 00g, but I still enjoy wearing the 2g and 4g jewelry... It's definitely a different look, and totally your preference!
Here's a consideration: If you know you're going to gauge up but still like your smaller stuff, make sure you buy the smaller stuff with largish balls (in the case of barbells), that way you don't have to worry about the balls passing through the PA hole and losing the jewelry down your pant leg...

If you take the jewelry out
Posted on September 4, 2008, 5:07 pmIf you take the jewelry out of a pa, will the hole close like other piercings? Will pee leak from the bottom if you stretch it, then go back to a smaller guage?

The answer to your first
Posted on September 4, 2008, 6:48 pmThe answer to your first question is a definite maybe. It depends on how large you have stretched the hole and how long you have had it for. Trans urethral piercings have this habit of not liking to completely heal closed too. So maybe...
The answer to your second question is most likely. I leak wearing my normal 0ga piece. I leak more with smaller pieces. Most guys have similar results. You may have luck rotating the ball to the underside of your penis and holding it there like a plug or sorts.

I've had my PA about four
Posted on September 10, 2008, 9:21 pmI've had my PA about four days now. No regrets so far. I would say just go for it! Keep it at whatever gauge it's pierced at for a while to see if you like it. If it doesn't work for ya then like everyone else has said- just take it out. I definitely want to go up to an 8 or a 6 gauge. Personal preference is the key... Don't spend your life wondering; just go out and do it!

Posted on September 24, 2008, 5:49 pmI was one of those guys that procrastinated for years too until a couple of weeks ago when I finally got my PA. It's awesome. I am now wearing a 12 gauge circular barbell. Great feeling. Over time I plan to go up to a 6 guage ring.. Just go get it done!

You will have problems
Posted on October 6, 2008, 4:29 amYou will have problems trying not to piss on ur legs and feet w/a ring in when standing up. U can flip ur
over to reduce that. I am going to try a 2 ga barbell instead to see if that helps.
