Okay, so SLB started this on the old boards, and with the volume of hair posts atm I thought it'd be a good idea to bring it back!

So, here's the place for your hair related posts, bitching about it, getting a new hair cut, deciding on a new cut, or having a particularly nice hair day Smiling

I'll start it off, current hair (tied back cause the ends are dead and straggly and icky).

Wanted this hairstyle since I was a kid, finally have the guts to do it.

This basic shape. Short at the back, with a huuuuge fringe and long bits at the front.
http://www.ukhairdressers.com/style/index2.asp?R1=6411&month1=&pg=1&styl...

The majority is gonna be styled like this cause of my current layers.
http://www.ukhairdressers.com/style/index2.asp?R1=3198&month1=&pg=1&styl...

But it's gonna be this length.
http://www.ukhairdressers.com/style/index2.asp?R1=6480&month1=&pg=1&styl...

Like it?

It's also growing well for the first time in a long time... and I've also always loved these 2 cuts, it's kinda the shape my hair gets when I let it grow:
http://www.ukhairdressers.com/style/index2.asp?R1=6592&month1=&pg=1&styl...

http://www.ukhairdressers.com/style/index2.asp?R1=6591&month1=&pg=1&styl...

Which it isn't too far off right now... first time in ages it's grown nicely... What d'you think?

Ooh, I love the cut in the first pic, Kat. I also have to say, I love your eyebrows!

I just dyed my hair. I'll take pics tomorrow, it's still wet right now, and I'm not very camera presentable, haha.

I also think your first idea is a good one, although the second is too. Your very purdyful, so you could pretty much pull of anything I thinks Smiling

Thanks Alka! I wish the colour was natural. Sadly, I have naturally light brown hair which looks really bad on me.

asininegenius: I recently

Posted on March 19, 2008, 10:41 am

asininegenius: I recently did the same thing. I had colored my hair turquoise and tried to cover it with henna (twice, only resulting in a pea-green color), and then after using a haircolor remover (and only getting a vibrant green hue), I colored my hair twice more with clairol or whatever over-the-counter stuff, and some of the green STILL showed through. So, after my sister's wedding, I just cut it off (only to grow it back out).
Pre-cut:

The cut:

Now (4 months later):

Can't wait 'til it's long again. Patience, patience, patience...

PS Kat, your hair and piercings and makeup all attribute to an absolutely beautiful, unique, and geniune you!

I want to do something

Posted on March 19, 2008, 10:58 am

I want to do something different with my hair but I'm not sure what.

Really bad picture..

My hair reaches down to my bra strap. I can't cut it extremely short because my hair is quite thick and curly naturally.

I did have a V point fringe but that's grown out now. I'm bored of the colour but I can't go back since it's black now.

Kat Attack your hair is lovely uLove

Awwwwh you are all lovely fabulous fluffy-hearted people Smiling uLove

I don't know, I've always wanted long hair... and it's finally getting to a decent length, and is growing fast.

But at the same time I've always wanted that hair cut, and have finally got the courage to cut it short again. I had it short a while back, but it was assymetric, so long on one side.
Short side:

It'd be that length all round my head, but I'd have a long fringe and long bits at the front, it wouldn't be graduated like an inverted bob though.

Posted on March 19, 2008, 12:50 pm

Kat, you're hair looks AWESOME!

I'm still trying to decide what to do with mine...have an appointment to get it cut next week, so I still have some time to decide. I'm probably going to cut it short like it was over the summer. I'd like to do something with the color (I'd love to go black), but I had a bad allergic reaction to dye several years ago, so I'm not sure if I will. Maybe blonde?

Posted on March 19, 2008, 5:46 pm

Right, this picture's quite disgusting so I suppose it doesn't give you the best idea in your head...but Leighanne wants to cut my hair short-ish like she did last summer and it looked like this...

But I'm not a bottle blonde like that anymore, I'm back to brunette

So I look like this...

And she wants to put a random bleach blonde chunk at the front near my fringe, but underneath some of the brown so it's not so like, in your face.

Do you reckon I'd look alright? As a breakdown; short-ish, brunette, bleach blonde chunk near fringe

Wish I was braver with my hair!!

Kat, Your hair is rockin. I

Posted on March 19, 2008, 10:39 pm

Kat,
Your hair is rockin. I love it! I really like the first haircut you posted, I think it would shape your face really well. I love the colors you picked too!

So This is my hair right now...

I'm thinking about growing it out and bleaching some of the color out to create highlights that I can dye any temporary color I want. I'm really just now getting into the funky hair scene and I'm starting to get addicted and to the point where I don't give a crap if anyone likes it but me. Anyone have any color suggestions for my skin tone. I am usually very pale.
Thanks!
Dana

Bwahaha. the Annieee cut.

I want to put my pictures up here, just for the sake of adding to the hair thread with something slightly different.
Before! (it was a semi-grownout mohawk with one sideburn.)

AFTER:

I don't need any advice on how to cut my hair, as it's already done, I just wanted to see if I could inspire any more baldie tribers... uTongue2

Also, it's growing like crazy. I should take a "2 weeks later" picture for you too!

Posted on March 20, 2008, 6:52 pm

So, do you all reckon I get it cut shortish then?

Cause I've been playing with my hair, and I can get it into this awesome loosely curled wavey shape. So I'm having second thoughts.

Long lovely hair as I've always wanted it, or short and choppy, seriously stylish, but setting me back length wise :/

Cause I still have my clip in extensions I can wear if I change my mind about the length.... >.<

HANNAH do what she says, I

Posted on March 21, 2008, 9:15 am

HANNAH do what she says, I think the blonde chunk would look ace but I like the short style, especially during Summer.

Natural hair:

Fringe of doom:

Been black:

Then I went (badly) blonde:

Then I went through a couple of styles:

Then I went red:

And now I'm thinking of putting some black in through the fringe and having a shorter cut, but still all delightful and messy. Don't know if I want to give up on my quiff though.
