Posted on September 10, 2008, 1:50 pmIf there's ANY scabbing, stay out of the water. "Wet Scabs" will pull out color.
Also, the sun KILLS tattoos in the first month or two.

Obviously I'm not a tattoo
Posted on September 10, 2008, 1:53 pmObviously I'm not a tattoo artist, nor an expert...
But I've always swam with fresh tattoos (even tho they tell you not too). And they all stayed just as bright as the one I got in winter (so I obviously wasn't swimming then).

Decided against it, tattoo
Posted on September 10, 2008, 5:14 pmDecided against it, tattoo is still peeling a teensy bit and it is a chlorinated pool.
Tattoo is thankfully not getting any sun

I agree with Jlo, I wont
Posted on September 12, 2008, 3:30 pmI agree with Jlo, I wont swim unless my tat looks and feels healed. Oh,a nd in the summer I pay more attention to drown them in sunblock than I do myself at times.

It's never worth the
Posted on October 11, 2008, 7:46 pmIt's never worth the risk--tattoos are there to stay. Always wait for them to heal thoroughly and always use yer sunblock. A few hours' fun isn't worth the risk of having to have a bit of your tattoo redone.
As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being.
