I got it done today!!!

It really was the most intense sensation ever.... it was incredibly painful, and the heel of the anchor (an Industrial Steel one) refused to go in.

I have stubborn thick skin over my sternum, so I know it wasn't my piercer's fault. It took about 4-5 minutes of teasing, pushing, pulling and all horrid things to get the heel to pop in.

It was the most pain I have ever been in, but I had 2 of the best mates to hold my hand while I got it done Smiling

We sweet talked the piercers into letting us take pics... I have one absolutely awesome pic of me lying down with a NEEDLE stuck in my chest, and then another of it immediately after it's in.

I love it, it looks awesome.

I'll get pics asap, my friend needs to send em to me. Because of it being where it is, I had to take my shirt off... so.. I will only be showing members I trust the pics of it being done.

So far I've left it alone, except one quick chamomile/sea salt compress.

I'll be doing a photo diary on the healing process of it, for other people to look at and compare to.

I can't bend in the middle XD

That seriously was extremely painful... but it's nothing I couldn't handle... I'd do it again in a heartbeat Sticking out tongue

Nice! Can't wait to see pics! I'm surprising how painful it was for you.. neither of mine weren't bad at all.

It's called STRETCHING your piercings, not gauging them.

Yay ! Congrats Laughing out loud And happy healing of course. Id love to see the pix, where abouts is it? I was sore after I got the one in my cleavage and it really wasnt bad at all to have done so Im sure you are super sore. Anywho, yay!!!!

I know mine were not even the same (location wise) but the one on my foot hurt more after than during... probably due to extra movement. They were quite tender for a few days. I would love to see pics as well... if you'd like to share Smiling

I have very thick, very unstretchy, very unforgiving skin there.... it didn't seem to wanna slid in at all, she ended up having to get another needle and poke a NEW hole for the foot too :s

It's super sore now, and a little bruised.... so damned worth it, gonna get at least ONE more above it Smiling

Yeah I'll send out PMs with pics for everyone who wants one.

It would've been fine to have done, but when she had to pull and push and everything to get it to sink in, that's when it killed, cause it was so drawn out.

I think mine are my favorite piercings now. I would love to get more but after the flack I've caught from my family and friends I think I'm done with them for a while. I love my family more

My piercer had to totally repierce mine, to make the hole bigger.

May I see a picture of your sternum microdermal? I SWEAR I won't distribute it or anything. I was there to see Trish's chest microdermals it was kind of neat watching them be done. I was surprised at just how TINY the dermal jewelry was. I want to get a few someday but I wouldn't know where to put them at.

Piercer said her's healed best leaving it uncovered and only cleaning off blood for the first week, so I tried that, and it seemed fine, just the heel was surfacing :s I went in and had to have it re-settled lol. That hurt again.

So I've been using mini bandages to keep it pinned down, that feels like it's working really nicely right now.

Anyone got advice for healing an anchor?

I do love the shock value of this piercing Sticking out tongue I can't wait to get a cool end for it!

And yeah, right now it is just a flat disk, they've offered me a new one of my choice cause it got a little scratched when they were inserting it Smiling Gotta wait till it heals though for that Sticking out tongue
