My navel piercing has migrated rather a lot since I got it pierced and I require very short jewelry. What I really need seems to be a 1/4" length. The problem is I'm afraid that if I order a 1/4" piece of jewelry I'll get it and it will actually be longer. I'm wearing what was sold as a 5/16" (Anatometal) but it is actually more like 3/8" I also have 2 Wildcat 10mm that are actually 12mm and a 12mm that is 14mm. What's going on? Are your curved barbells like this? Which brands do you find have the most accurate measurement? Or does anyone offer anything smaller than 1/4" that might actually be 1/4"? I'm looking for internally threaded. I'm at 14g right now, but wonder if 12g might be better, what are your thoughts? I've had the piercing 9 months and have only changed it to downsize jewelry, it still gets a bit of crust.
