I'm jealous! I had an emergency appendectomy and when I was finally feeling well enough to try and get my barbel back in my VCH it was no use. My other holes were all healed enough and they all survived. My VCH was over a year old but the bottom hole closed up within a matter of a day or 2.

I guess with my plugs in my ears I was able to put them back in just a couple hours after I woke up, and with the VCH I can understand why you didn't feel up to trying it in for a couple days.

Did you get it done again? Seems like a hell of a piercing to let go completely.

Yeah, I don't think I attempted to put it in again until my second day in the hospital.
I've thought about getting it re-pierced, it gave me some problems so I'm still unsure. My hood is deep so my bottom ball sat underneath my hood all of the time and would get pinched on occasion with a tight pants seam. It was definitely my favorite piercing though, I was so sad to see it go!

Glad you were able to get them back in so easily - be sure to give them some extra salt soaks to baby them

hi there dikaryon ,i've used captive rings on my barebell (vch piercing),and that stopped any pinching and the lower ring holds your inner lab open a bit,very tasty pic by the way

You know, I actually thought about doing that to avoid my bottom ball sitting under my hood. I kept my original jewelry in it until the day it retired. I wanted to wait until I had some extra cash to put some good quality jewelry in.
If I ever get it repierced I'll keep that in mind for sure.
