Pain is different for everyone. In my experience, it's not bad at all.
If you want something bad enough pain you shouldn't have to worry Too much about the pain

I believe that it is called mind over matter. If you want a lip piercing it is like all piercings, there will be some pain. If you want it and do not mind a little pain, it will not matter.

why are you doing it if you're so afraid?

best way to minimize the pain is to have it done by a very experienced piercer, who makes it quick, and doesn't fumble around.

My lip piercings ALL tickled when I had them done.

They were all numbed... so all I could feel was a slight tickle as the needle slipped through. =3

i didnt feel anypain on my lip. was a bit sore later when i ate cus i kept catching it on my teeth. I was drunk though... not the most sensible thing to do.

My lip piercing hurt A LOT! But it's different for everyone as you can see. I also have a high tolerance too, my lip was as bad as my nipples to be honest, but as you can see everyone else said it wasn't that bad. It depends on alot of factors

Pain is part of the experience. And at any rate, any pain you feel will be over in an instant and you'll laugh at yourself for psyching yourself out over it.

My nipples were the 2nd or 3rd most painful experience of my life. But ya know what? The pain was so short lived that I wouldn't hesitate for a second to get them pierced again.

Personally my most recent nose piercing hurt a lot more than my lip piercing. =)

Honestly any piercing pain is SO QUICK and over so so quickly, that as soon as it's done and you walk out of the room, you'll pretty much forget how bad the pain was. In my memory I remember my nipples hurting bad, but I don't remember the exact pain, and I would do it again in a heartbeat

My lip was really odd. It was literally a stab! But it was over really quickly. I remember i was really stunned afterwards and as i was lying down on the piercing bed, my legs started to spasm. Very strange. But again, its different for everyone. I've known people who have had it done and barely felt it and i know people who have had snakebites and passed out after. ... should really have written that the other way round lol

When people ask me if my piercings hurt, of course I say yes. I then explain, they didn't hurt so much that I wouldn't get another one. Like others have said, the actually piercing isn't bad, the pinch lasts for a second or two tops.

If you really want it, get it.

I had my lip pierced and it didnt hurt one bit. My nose hurt more! Mine also didnt hurt at all afterwards apart from the back rubbing on my gum for a couple of days.

Go for it, if its what you want but see a professional piercer.

I had practically no pain and very minimal swelling but then again, everyone is different (and I have a somewhat high pain threshold.) If you want it, DC said it.. it won't matter about the pain. Go for it.

The most irritating pain for me with piercings is waiting for the damned things to be healed. That's the biggest pain in my opinion. I think the only piercing I've ever had that I worried about was the septum. My problem was listening to everyone else I think lol. The fact was, mine didn't even remotely hurt. I think I was more bothered by the position my nose was being moved in to.

i got my lip pierced and it didnt hurt at all i was very nervious but i wanted it bad enough to go throuyght whatever was needed to get it and i love it so if u want it bad enough ull got through anything to get it

My lip piercing didn't hurt at all. It was comparable to getting my lobes pierced. It was the healing that sucked. The redness around the new hole lasted about 5 weeks. People were always asking me if it was infected, or telling me it looked infected. Apparently my skin didn't approve of the new steel. It crusted over worse than any other piercing I've ever done. The captive bead that was in it originally drove me nuts. I would wake up with the bead on the inside of my mouth and the jewelry too crusted over to move it, so I replaced it with a segmented ring. A few months later it was all healed, but as I recall, this piercing caused more discomfort during healing than any of my others.

I have 3 lip piercings...they did hurt..but whats the point of getting a piercing if it does not...I feel that if you really want it done...you will put up with the pain no matter what...
