Hello to me it sounds like
Posted on September 23, 2008, 2:13 amHello to me it sounds like maybe you're overcleaning them a bit. Are you using the correct mixture of salt to water? 1/4 to 1/8 teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 1 cup (8 oz.) of warm water. Maybe not wash them as often with the satin soap and just do the salt soaks.
It's somewhat normal for piercings to itch it is a sign that they're healing. My nipples are three weeks old now and they sometimes itch like heck but I know it's because they're healing..
Another thought is maybe you're having some kind of reaction to the metal? I'm not sure if you can feel a piercing reject because I've never experienced anything of that sort. But you could tell if you're seeing more and more bar and less and less tissue.
To be for sure just go back to your piercer and have him/her check them out they'll more than likely be able to tell you if anything is going wrong with the piercings.

I must say... that when
Posted on September 23, 2008, 4:36 amI must say... that when stretching in the last year,
I messed up and over stretched... anyway... I had
issues with tingly/prickly/throbbings... I was also
with the flu at the same time, unfortunatly... but
it was an infection of some kind... the throbbing
was the killer... confused about bleeding for days...
never had that prob. eventhough self pierced up and
down... I never had the sea salts even though it was
available in my workplace... but the throbbing is to
me an infection of sorts... it began as tingly and
super sensitivity then just throbbed... sanitize
often 3 or 4x a day they say? but look for others
input- since I am no pro.

Posted on September 23, 2008, 8:05 amThe itching is healing the pricklyness is just the crusties sticking to the jewelry and skin so ANY movement of the 2 will be a strange uncomfortable feeling. I would do either the soaks or the soap, but not both.

I saw my piercer and she
Posted on September 23, 2008, 9:33 pmI saw my piercer and she said to DC the soap and keep with the SSS. Also, to try warm moist camomile tea bag compresses. Not sure if the compresses' have helped much since it's hard to fit much of that into my schedule but the warmth is nice. I don't recall this much itching and prickliness the first two times around. One nipple was pierced twice before and this time my piercer had to re-position her hand three times to get through the scar tissue (my most painful piercing to date...breathe deeply!).Maybe piercing at 10ga is a factor too, first two times were at 14 or 12ga. They seem better today, I'll try to relax Cloud, and everyone's support here is much appreciated!!

what's "DC"? your

your piercer's advice is good. As far as being different from the earlier attempts, well, sometimes they are. Your body may be different, with different health issues, the jewelry may be different--you would know better than we do.
Remember, we're just piercees like you, not doctors or anything. If it doesn't get better and you suspect infection (although it doesn't seem like it to me) you will need a doctor to diagnose.
But here's hoping things will get better!
