i have many piercings, and have ran out of ideas for new one's, until today i had the idea to get a set of inner conch piercings(one in each ear) and put plain 14 gauge barbells in them. ive seen inner conch piercings performed once, and the guy screamed like a little girl. ive also seen videos where people dont flinch a muscle, so i have no clue as to what the pain may entail. i think they would be a sick addition to my already numerous piercings. what do you think?

i got a conch a little

Posted on August 12, 2008, 4:47 pm

i got a conch a little higher up. i guess it would be an outer conch. and the piercer was like take a deep breath and hold it then it was over. i had to ask if she was done already. i didnt feel a thing. its not too bad. rooks hurt worse.

if you can handle the various others you have you can definitely handle a conch.

I have an 8ga inner conch and the pain was minimal when getting it. Go figure?!

Posted on August 13, 2008, 1:24 pm

ive decided instead of getting 14 gauge barbells in each of my inners, im just going to do one and put a 10 gauge captive in it. i liked the idea alittle better, because if i couldnt go through with doing two i have a sexy large gauge one in one.

you should do one at a time

Posted on August 13, 2008, 1:47 pm

you should do one at a time anyway unless you want many a nights without sleep. i did right lobe and conch in one session then a week later did my left rook and was pretty well screwed on getting any good sleep.

I had barely any pain, just funky pressure.. and the 14ga cbr gave me hell til I changed it as far as getting knocked around, talking on the phone, etc.. it healed up pretty quickly after I was able to put a 14ga labret flatback in. I love it though!

Eesh.. I would definitely

Posted on August 18, 2008, 8:01 am

Eesh.. I would definitely not have recommended the CBR for it, I tried a CBR in mine and when I ended up sleeping on that side, even though it was completely healed it put too much pressure on the piercing and pissed it off all over again.. So my advice is just be careful!

i slept with it last night

Posted on August 18, 2008, 9:08 am

i slept with it last night and it was okay. luckily i sleep on the other side of my face to begin with. i decided to put the cbr in it, because i dont like the other jewelry options for the piercing. barbells that high up look sorta dumb, and i really like the look of the large diameter/gauge cbr in it. i will never remove this jewelry most likely.

Okay, it's personal

Posted on August 18, 2008, 10:14 am

Okay, it's personal preference, I have a kaos silicone tunnel in my stretched conch now because it's so comfortable and I don't really want the piercing on show atm

Posted on August 18, 2008, 12:51 pm

Looks nice Laughing out loud I am a fan of the cbr look. But given that I have had many issues with my right one (ps, good for you not getting them both at once and for getting it on the side you *dont* sleep on. I made the both at once mistake) Ive decided that keeping my current gems in there is a good idea.

But at any rate it looks awesome, happy healing.

I love CBRs in inner conch -

Posted on August 18, 2008, 2:06 pm

I love CBRs in inner conch - but for healing, most people I know took forever with those in it. 4 years for one gal. My 8ga one healed up in 6 weeks or so with a barbell with flatback half-domes on it. If you have problems - you might consider trying that jewelry just for healing and the CBR later. Smiling Looks rad, though!
