I don't know...the first black president is a big deal. I think it deserves to be celebrated regardless of what happens from this point on.

I mean, the fact that the majority of Americans elected him should be celebrated, not him.

Time will tell whether or not Obama's presidency will be celebrated.

The fact that this is happening in ALABAMA is kinda a big deal in and of itself.

That said, every day is Barack Obama day for me. uBiggrin

It's not like this is a national holiday...just a small, rural county in Alabama. I see it more as an expression of pride than a celebration of achievement, although being elected as the first black president of the US in 230+ years would seem to qualify as achievement.
