They usually put a recieving tube beneath the hood and pierce into the tube, thus missing the clitoris! Or not so commonly used are clamps to hold the hood up while it is pierced.

I'm pretty sure rejecting hoods is quite rare, but I happened to be one of those people who had a hood piercing rejecting itself out! I am pretty sure this is because I went to a piercer who wasn't awesome at doing the job, and so she put in a bar that was FAR too short for my new piercing. The receiving tube is kind of like a straw - a thin plastic tube with a hole through it, and when the needle goes through your hood, it ends up in the tube on the other side, so it doesn't stab your clitoris!

The receiving tube just gets placed up under the hood a little, while resting on the clitoris beneath. If you pull your hood up, there is a gap between it and the clitoris.

I have only seen receiving tubes that were metal. They can and should be autoclaved. I am not sure about plastic. The tube is inserted under the hood and the needle is pierced through the hood into the tube. You might say oh or maybe damn as the needle goes through, but it will only be momentary. Please let it heal prior to play of any kind to keep from having problems. After it is fully healed you and your guy can make like rabbits. Happy healing and then enjoy. The ball resting on your clit may or may not give you pleasure, it depends on how well it fits and how sensitive your clitoris is.

In regards to potential migration or rejection, get pierced with a larger gauge, like a 12g. Thinner jewelry is more likely to work its way through your skin. Curved barbells are probably the most common form of jewelry worn in a VCH. I had mine done in September, and I originally had a CBR. I switched to a curved barbell around 3-4 weeks, as it appeared to be fully healed. I personally find the barbell more comfortable, as it is less often in contact with clothing. Aside from heightened awareness during the first few days, I never really notice it now. Hope this helps, and good luck!

ok so after a little more research I have reached some conclusions. I am thinking that I want a piercing down below for mainly decorative reasons, and although I am not opposed to heightened sensation I am concerned about the constant contact with the clit that this piercing has. I don't know if that would be a bit much or not. Do people feel constant sensation? I was thinking that maybe getting a HCH with a ring maybe aleviate this? My little bud stays tucked under the hood most of the time unless the hood is pulled back so I am thinking that with a HCH with a cbr there wont be as much constant contact with the actual clit unless I want it to and physically pull the skin back. What do you guys think?

Also, i keep reading about the added pleasure with a VCH but from all the pictures I see on here it looks like the jewelry is pretty much obstructing direct access to the clit. so that means the pleasure you get is from you or someone else actually playing with the jewelry only and indirectly pleasuring the clit?

To answer the pleasure part.. your clit is a huge bundle of nerve ends and sits about an inch above the opening with the hood covering it... so when your hood is pierced the barbell or hoop is actually sitting on top of your clit... just like the Triangle sits behind the clit so you get a different type of pleasure.

I am just concerned about it rubbing against it 24-7 and it being annoying after a awhile and then the bead blocking my clit when I want my man to get to it lol. If I am getting it, it will be right after x-mas so i have like a month to think it over some more.

i do not have a vch yet but will soon too. i only assume tho that trying diff jewelery will change the location of where it hits on ur clit therefore allowing ur man to give you the pleasure u want. so i dont see it as a problem of getting in the way. just go for it! whats there to lose? if you dont like it you can always take it out. personally i can not wait for mine and i am counting down the days.

Hi after alot of thought I got a VCH cause I wanted maximum stimulation, but I was a bit concerned about feeling all hot and bothered and wet panties all day which would not be good since I am a hair stylist....but no worries that is not the case for me, I am not aware of it and I have the banana bar...so stop worrying so much and go for it...if you think to long you will think wrong...You have gotten alot of wonderful advise and information from good people here, you have had your consult now make your appointment and enjoy it I promise you you wont be sorry...I found out that the more questions and opinions that I asked the more frightened I became..and all for nothing..I even had someone tell me that I was too damn old and married to do something like that...glad I didn't listen to them...so in all you have nothing to lose but alot to gain...just make sure your piercer has alot of experience in genital piercing....mine had 30 yrs and told me he was doing VCH's before they were cool to have...good luck Sweetie...and post pics when you do...

I originally wanted a VCH but was only suited for the HCH.

If you want decoration with minimal stimulation, why not get various labial piercings? I also have my outers done and they do nothing for me other than look pretty.

I have had my VCH piercing for about 1 yr and 5 months. I love it. I went to Tatto & CO. in Miami, FL and the guy was really nice. He was very clean. He cleaned the area marked where he thought would be best. He used the receiving tube to do the piercing. I thought him putting the ring through hurt more than the actual piercing. I waited a few weeks before I had sex with my boyfriend. Now its completly healed and it feels so much better during sex. Most of the time i forget that its there unless Im wearing jeans and it moves where its uncomfortable but other than that I forget. I love my piercing!! Now im thinking about getting my nipples pierced but im a little nervous about that...Anybody have some advice??

meli1889-I thought my nipples hurt worse than my other piercings, but they're tolerable. Mine are by far my favorite piercing! The pain was well worth how much I love them.

how does a vch piercing with a barbell twist? It looks a little hard for that to happen.

It can get in a bind since the tissue there is very thin. It's kind of a "pinchy" feeling. It doesn't often, but it can happen.
