I swore I didn't want any more but went into town with my friend and she wanted something done so I was like, oh, go on I'll get my tongue web done...
Anyway it turned into us both going to get our tongues done but I'm apparently 'tongue tied' so I couldn't get it done but at that point I really actually wanted something done.
So I got the vertical labret I wanted for ages...
The parents aren't happy, they're 'very disappointed' and they haven't even seen it yet. But they said I could get any piercings when I was 18 and I'm 18 in 2 months so I figured 2 months wouldn't matter...
The boy is VERY mad. He hates piercings and didn't want me to get any more so there was a bit of an arguement and he's just getting very drunk tonight, partly because of me (as he's said) but that's not just cos of this it's because of last night as well...
If it really bothers him and/or my parents I will take it out though.

I've woken up with a slightly swollen lip (expected obviously!) and I haven't actually let my parents see it, I've just covered it up because if they don't like it they won't want to see it, but saying that I think if they saw it they'd realise it wasn't so bad...

I understand that they don't like facial piercings, but as they even said themselves, it's my face. It's not like I've had a tattoo done or got *loads* of piercings.
Cba with this, but I don't want to have to take it out for anyone.

As you said, they told you you could get piercings yourself once you were 18, and you nearly are. They probably just need to adjust to it, thats all!
The same happened to me when I got my septum pierced (even though I can hide it, unlike a vertical labret!) my mum was horrified and so were my friends and boyfriend, I considered taking it out... but I didn't... and now whenever its hidden my mates are all like "get your bull-ring out!" (yes, my nickname has now become "Bull" haha)
... anyway, now I'm rambling... all I wanted to say was don't worry about it, they'll get used to it soon!
