Posted on June 14, 2008, 10:02 pmYes and no.
Wearing a separate piece of jewelry in each hole while healing is a method used by some piercers, but the trouble with it is that once it heals the holes may not align to be able to wear the single bar in it because they can migrate while healing.
Many people seem to find the healing process more comfortable that way but prefer 2 short barbells over the 2 rings.
Never miss someone from your past - there is a reason they did not make it to your future.

Posted on June 15, 2008, 1:41 amA friend has had both methods: two barbells got his hair tangled up less, but putting the industrial bar in was puling on one hole. They were both healed fine, so apart from an extra thick fistula, there was no difference. He wouldn't have liked to try putting the industrial bar in less completely headled piercings though.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'

Posted on June 15, 2008, 1:50 pmUsually, if you want an industrial piercing start off with the right jewelry for an industrial. Industrials have certain angles that normal cartlidge piercings don't have. Thats why in the above posts putting an industrial barbell in what started off as normal cartlidge piercings the barbells don't fit right or they pull and is uncomfortable.
So in short: Industrials are a different piercing then two helix piercings.
