I have a circular barbell in
Posted on October 24, 2008, 5:25 amI have a circular barbell in mine and have no problems with it at all. The ball ends dont rest on either hole, its quite comfortable, better than the Curved barbell I started out with. And no, it doesnt get knocked into anything! Give it a try!

you can try ring-style
Posted on October 24, 2008, 6:33 amyou can try ring-style jewelry, but I also think you're messing with it too much. You've changed it 3 times in a month, and you speak of "stretching it away" (presumably because you're trying to fix it because it's sore--). All that manipulation is not good for it.
Just because the ball rests and settles into the top hole it doesn't mean that's bad--it has to find it's own comfortable spot. If you feel you might lose your jewelry completely, that is, the hole is now so large that the ball and bar will slip through, then change it. Otherwise, if it were me, I think I would be doing hot herbal soaks and otherwise leaving it alone.

I was just thinking about
Posted on October 24, 2008, 6:56 amI was just thinking about how your healing was coming along and low and behold here you are!
We both got pierced around them same time and I have not had any problems with my piercing other than not being able to leave it alone in the beginning. Maybe a CBR, which is what I have might be your option until things heal. Good Luck!

Since don't have that body
Posted on October 24, 2008, 7:39 amSince don't have that body part all I can tell you is from personal problems with nipple piercings. I have troubles with the right one rejecting and pushing the jewelry out. This time I found some very lite weight pieces with enough size 5/8" cbr. now leaving them alone except to clean. Just the idea of changing pieces has caused healing to start over. With a couple painfull days. From what you say though if I ever meet a woman that wants to pierce her hood I will recommend a horizontil which can just lay there and hopefully not pull too hard?

Maybe you can order some new
Posted on October 24, 2008, 10:30 amMaybe you can order some new posts that are larger. Looks like a 14ga barbell can fit a range of ball posts on it (at least, with LeRoi SS jewelry). Measure your current post and maybe double the size.
I've got 5/8" posts on my barbell (granted, for a different piercing). There's no way that sucker will get pulled into the hole. Not sure I would recommend 5/8" for you though.

Honestly I was think the day
Posted on October 25, 2008, 4:51 pmHonestly I was think the day 3 ordeal with the inappropriate jewelry has seriously messed the piercing up! As quick of healers as these are you could take it out, let your body get back to normal, and have it repierced with APPROPRIATE size, style, and length jewelry. I think when the ball got "sucked" down into the tissue, it stretched it out. Alot!
I'm not saying you SHOULD feel like you have to remove it, but it wouldn't hurt your body to recover from it and start all over. The other thing would be to try bigger balls atleast till it heals to the gauge you have and want to keep it at. Idk though. I'm not a piercer.

Well i put a bigger ball on
Posted on October 26, 2008, 5:21 amWell i put a bigger ball on and it doesn't get sucked in, yay!! I forgot to mention guys that I never EVER notice the piercing at all unless I am looking at it or I whack the area, otherwise in normal daily activities, sleeping etc it NEVER hurts. But the fact that it is tender when I poke it sometimes, thats the annoying bit. But I wouldn't go ahead and take it out cos I never even notice it otherwise, so its not like an annoying painful piercing thats bugging me :)I guess tho when I look at it, and notice it's a bit tender to touch + ball making a socket I get worried, but I think if something was wrong, I would have more tenderness randomly and not related to just whacking it/poking at it. So it's not bad.. bigger ball isn't getting sucked in, and I will try a CBR in a few weeks if need be.
The one good thing is that I am not afraid about the prospect of changing VCH jewellery now! LoL that's an achievement
It really is very easy, and I have found inserting it from the bottom up, you don't even FEEL the jewellery go in (instead of from the top down, where your poking the actual piercing hole)
Anywaysssss we'll see how I go, I went horse riding for an hour today up and down hills, galloping etc, and it didn't bother me AT ALL!! So yays
I think my healing is just set back because of the intial jewellery fiasco, possible very stretchy hood and..
Oh! My VCH is 15mm long (the top hole to where the ball comes out under the hood) is this extra long?
Anyways goodnite!

Well i'm glad you could find
Posted on October 26, 2008, 6:06 amWell i'm glad you could find a fix that didn't require you to remove it!
15mm does seem long to me, but if the piercer went through alot of tissue in your hood you have to have a ring in that contains it all. My VCH uses a 10mm bar and my nipples use 15mm so it does seem odd to me. *shrugs shoulders* Anyways, happy healing from here on out!

Hm I think my piercing has
Posted on October 30, 2008, 5:02 amHm I think my piercing has rejected a little? I swear the top ball is lower down now, and I can kinda see a scar trail..
Looks like rejection is haunting me AGAIN!!! I think I should give up with piercings all together.
If it isn't migrating to a comfier spot, it's being pushed lower (and out)
Joy.

Rejection could happen
Posted on October 30, 2008, 12:31 pmRejection could happen within 48 hours. So pay VERY CLOSE attention to it.
Migration is no big deal though. If it doesn't continue moving.
I still think Titanium might be a really good bet for you.

Well guys my VCH was
Posted on November 1, 2008, 7:10 amWell guys my VCH was rejecting faster than you can think, just like John Lopez said. The trail it left behind created a VERY big squishy giant socket that was sucking up the biggest ball I had, and it was painful to touch and moisty and red. It seriously lost like 5mm of skin in about 4 days and I had to take it out, or my hood would have ended up torn into two halves
Am I like the only one with a hood piercing that has rejected? Seriously?? I even refrained from sex for the whole 4 weeks.
Heck at least I can go back to intimacy again. Yay.
Where can I go from here? Microdermals? Or will my body push them out too? Sigh.

I'm really quite upset
Posted on November 1, 2008, 7:19 amOr maybe I should be positive and look at the piercings that DO love me - my tongue, nose, and tragus? Oh and my boring lobes. I guess I should be grateful.

That sucks. Was it pierced
Posted on November 1, 2008, 9:10 amThat sucks.
Was it pierced properly to begin with? Once it's good and healed you might be able to try again.

I'm so sorry to hear that
Posted on November 1, 2008, 5:26 pmI'm so sorry to hear that Shell. I agree though, it may not have been pierced properly to begin with, and no offense, but it was changed several times within the initial healing stage, so all that I am sure contributed to the rejection.
I do believe if you let this heal, go to a different piercer, inquire about proper length to prevent another day three ordeal, you may just have another chance.
Good luck with whatever you decide and try to be grateful and enjoy the ones that did heal.

totally agree with jingram
Posted on November 3, 2008, 9:51 amtotally agree with jingram our bodies are an amazing thing they will tell us when they dont like something.
Dont feel a failure at all I have heard from others that there hood has rejected.
I have a VCH and you must remember that it is a thin piece of skin and is not pierced deep at all.
You've had one bad expirence at least you can help others with you knowledge of it rejecting now which I am sure will help someone.
As for microdermals I would say definatly try it if you love you piercings microdermals are even better (well I love my little dermal)
I have had my wrist one for 5 weeks no problems until a little accident on my part yesterday (which is now getting sorted)
Hope this has helped in someway

Well a nice one point
Posted on November 4, 2008, 4:43 pmWell a nice one point piercing in your cleavage would draw attention to your "chest". It would make it more attractive than it already is. Sorry about your VCH experience.
