It takes some getting use
Posted on May 17, 2008, 8:51 pmIt takes some getting use to, but after it's healed it's pretty much hassle-free. I usually just remove the end and shave around the post or remove it all together. Before it was healed, I shaved as close as I could to it and then trimmed the rest with some small scissors.

Maybe you need a really really small razor to scoot around it.

Posted on May 20, 2008, 8:34 pmI've seen little razors before, they're like 1/2 the width of regular ones. They're by noxema I think, and actually made for girly bits.

I shaved right before I went
Posted on July 26, 2008, 4:53 pmI shaved right before I went to get my labret pierced. Then during healing and still after healed I shave as good as I can then I use an eyebrow/nosehair trimmer (clean one of course) to clip off the hair that's closest to the fistula.

Wow! I am shocked that
Posted on August 5, 2008, 8:23 pmWow! I am shocked that someone open minded to the point of piercings would act like a 5 year old over the thought of using a razor intended for a woman's bikini line...gay or not, that is ridiculously immature. ***snip***

Hey...I did not bash someone
Posted on August 5, 2008, 9:42 pmHey...I did not bash someone on their sexuality. I am bi indeed and some of my longest and dearest friends are gay. I love them and respect them dearly. I NEVER referred to anyone being gay as a bad thing here. I simply pointed out said person was being childish and unreasonable on an analogy that made a lot of sense to me. If anyone is flaming or bashing it is the person acting like a child over the whole *ladies* razor thing. He is openly allowed to state repulsion about a woman's private parts and it is not considered to be flaming yet I bring up an instance why it doesn't make any sense and using absolutely no bad language mind you I am?! Where exactly is THAT fair and just?

And just what, pray tell,
Posted on August 5, 2008, 9:43 pmAnd just what, pray tell, makes you think that you have the right to pass judgment, SIKNEVL? Not even by the largest stretch of the imagination could your post be deemed "mature," and yet you criticize someone else for being immature. Hypocrisy, anyone?

I do indeed...all the terminologies of what a flame is : actual fire, a gay man and what you accused me of and I go to Wikipedia for a quote "Flaming is the hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users." I was not either. I simply pointed out why his reaction didn't make sense And even if you believe he was not vulgar it is CERTAINLY offensive.

Well ... that killed this
Posted on August 6, 2008, 7:40 amWell ... that killed this thread.
*hauls back into topic*
There's no difference between mens and women's razor other than price and colour, and I've shaved around mine happily.
But, I've been invited to a beauty spa day at some point, and part of the gift is a bikini wax. I'm nervous about them for a whole lot of reasons (mostly the pain), but my piercings might make a good excuse to back out.
Whaddya think?

when I had my labret done, i used to shave around the area with either an electric razor/beard trimmer or by weasling a mach3 around it. the electrics are ftw though.

The women's ones I have gotten all have the little wire around the razor to keep you from cutting yourelf. The men's ones i've seen have not. I cut myself either way so it makes no difference to me
